Barclay doesn't like taking big chances on people with scores that low.

True. I got a Barclays Rewards recently, 3 1/2 months out of BK, with FICO scores in the high 500s, low 600s. They pulled TU, and my TU score is my lowest, I think only 580 or so when they pulled it.

Creditpulls says otherwise.

Um, it's very hard to tell.

Its the better card, but it also has much more stringent requirements to get onboard with.

Don't expect to get approved if you're under 700.

Search for Sallie Mae in Creditpulls for a reference point. You'll see what I mean.

Some did get the approval under it, but a large majority were 700+

We covered this earlier this week. :P Almost all of the data in CP on the SM card is approval data. Decline data is a LOT more telling, and there's almost none of it for this card from 2013 forward.

I don't need CP to tell me that my chances of approval are would be very good with a high FICO if not for the fact that I just opened half a dozen Barclays cards for signup bonuses.

Edited for accuracy.

Slut.

are you slut shaming?

Fine line between shame and adulation.
