Bank Reference Contact Person

Some of these commercial credit apps ask for a bank reference with a contact person. I'm not sure who to put for a contact name. I have a business checking account at a bank, but I don't have a my own bank contact person for it. Just wondering what others put on their applications.

I use BOA and I have always just put Bank of America with a local branch address and phone number and just leave the person blank. Very seldom do places actually check and some banks won't even give a reference and from what I have heard BOA will not. Places understand if your using a larger bank you may not have a contact. You could also call the bak and they will give you the info.

 

One problem with bank verifications if they do one is when you have numerous accounts. They generally only ask for one account number. Most businesses have more then one account and money may be spread out between accounts at any given time.

OK, good. I wasn't sure if I should leave it blank. I thought that would cause my app to be denied.

 

I figured if someone called up my bank and asked about my accounts that the bank wouldn't give out that information anyway.
