sketchdogg
I deleted all my old adress including one tied to a paid state tax lien. Disputed the tax lien and i just got a letter back that it was verified.side note I also have my LN report frozen. The verification process took 3 days, wish deletions would also take that long

BostonBruce
On mine the address is gone but the baddie still has the old address ID number. Are you guys getting that field blank when the address is deleted?

woowoo
Before attempting the script for Experian, I called all my old closed positive accounts and updated address on fact I work for govt and apart of largest breach, I wanted to update everything to protect myself. Done deal with those closed positive accts. I'll wait a few weeks for it to report to Bureaus before I dispute negative accts with that 1 address that is my nemesis l. May the odds be in my favor ✌
4192club
On mine the address is gone but the baddie still has the old address ID number. Are you guys getting that field blank when the address is deleted? I still have the old address identification # listed for old TLs.
BenWynn
Just got off the phone with Experian for the "2nd call". I had to ask for a supervisor but ultimately it worked. Yay! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
CreditCuestions
This did not work for me, even after asking for a Manager. I tried 3 or 4 times they kept saying "they" would call the CA with me on the phone and get more information. 1st address is tied to a car loan due to fall off 10/16 I guess that's not the big of a deal 2nd address is tied to Verizon & Southwest Credit/AT&T

72rrogers
I was able to get addresses tied to negative trade lines deleted. Mostly luck, but there were different variations of the same addresses with and without apt numbers listed on my account. I disputed online and they did not come off. I disputed on the phone and spoke with a nice CSR who went through the addresses with me and I would tell her the one with the TL attached was wrong, the other one is right. Now I'm working on getting the ones left that are not attached removed. There are still 3 listings for my current address.

Killbadcredit
I had a question on deleting old address. If you get address deleted then go ahead and dispute the item what exactly happens? Does the creditor say yes it's his? Does credit bearu have to verify everything? Also does the address get reinserted again if credior verified as yours? 72rrogers
I had a question on deleting old address. If you get address deleted then go ahead and dispute the item what exactly happens? Does the creditor say yes it's his? Does credit bearu have to verify everything? Also does the address get reinserted again if credior verified as yours? I had PNC re-insert my address on EQ 2 times. Re-disputed and gotten it removed both times. Removing old addresses tied to negative trade lines helps to remove one of the identifiers used to verify disputes. You can and will still get TL's verified, but it can assist you in getting them deleted as well.

jumphigh
Hi, I'm new to this board. First let me start off by saying, When I got married @ 18 , I never updated my name with the SS office. Therefore, only my ID shows my married name. Over the years I've only used my maiden name. My maiden name has 1 collection account and 3 past due credit cards. Only a few good accounts shows my married name. Now that I have collection accounts on my file, can I use the address method but just do it with my married name. Thanks
LadyLuck16
I tried calling Experian today, I said that the address is associated with a family member but is not me. She then asked if I'd ever lived there, which I responded yes, as a child, but it should not be on my credit report. She refused to remove the address. What do I do now. I've found the better course of action when they refuse to delete this (same happened to me) was to tell them the street number is wrong. Example: 1234 Butterball way My line: "I already contacted the companies associated with it and they said it's updated on their end. But you guys refuse to update. It should be 234 Butterball way." Since your saying you technically lived there as a child, just tell them the number is wrong like the above. Do a google map search to make sure the number doesnt exist. For me, the guy put me on a hold a minute and then said I will correct this on your report. Within 2 days I got an e-mail notification with the results. Sure enough it was changed and had no address location ID number. What's nice is once they change the number (and I made sure to pick a non-existant house number) the address location will become blank become it has no geographical reference. Then.... a week later I called back and disputed the address as never lived there and the rep looked and immediately removed it because it's not tied to anything. A month later I disputed my baddie and it was deleted. Has anyone had success with this method when the original wording did not work ? Or is it best to stay away from this method ? LadyLuck16
So we call, remove old addresses from the EXP report, and guess what? The EXP report, hard copy and online at Experian.com/disputes, still shows the " ADDRESS IDENTIFCATION NUMBER " on it right next to each baddie. So how do we know the old addresses are still sitting on our file (not our report), connected to the baddie? I think they are simply hiding the old address from our view, not really removing it. Anyone who knows the difference between a credit file and a credit report, I think, probably understands the distinction. Has anyone successfully disputed a baddie after removing the connected address on their EXP report? Specifically, after a dispute to EXP? Yes....I have had almost all baddies deleted after getting all old adresses off of EX. The only thing I have left on EX is my BK. I am working on the BK right now. I am happy for you! How, exactly, did you dispute the items? Dispute as Not yours- Without the address identifier there, the likely hood is high you'll get a deletion. LadyLuck16
once address is removed , is it still the best method to just dispute online as not mine ..... or should I follow a jack attack cmrr letter to the CRA (Experian) ?
