RSLT1
Ok so I did my first call to EX and of course I was denied but she warned TU and EQ. She also said that I have two medicals on that address so will that screw me or do I still have a chance when I call back in a month? Any steps I should do? Sounds like he is saying the CSR rep at EX "warned" TU and EQ, btut, yes, what does that mean? If they were going to "warn" they wouldn't "warn" they would place Fraud Alerts, but EXperian usually does what it wants.. Not saying they did.. RSLT1
Sorry they alerted them of the "fraud"
david_weaver
Sorry they alerted them of the "fraud" What 'fraud'? Exactly what did you say to try to get the addresses removed? Did you follow the script? Seems odd that it would result in a fraud alert.

CreditRepairDiva
I just called transunion and got them all removed and all of the old phone numbers. Now I will try the other 2 and report back. Thank you so much for sharing this info.
Guest
I said that I never lived there and it wasn't one of my addresses Sounds like that would make a FA "Wasn't me" ok then who was it.. (Is how they think)
CreditRepairDiva
Since I just moved w/in the past month, would this be worth doing? You can try. I moved in the past year and was able to get the last address off.
david_weaver
If you do an online dispute with TU, it allows you to simply update all personal information. You can click a check-box next to any address that is not what TU considers your 'current address' and simply click 'delete' without even needing a reason. CreditRepairDiva
Just spoke with Experian and I was able to get all of the address removed except 2 of them of that are tied to 3 debts each. I will call back in 3 weeks and try to get those removed. Now off to call Equifax.
strengthrehab
I'm so afraid to call and say the wrong thing and mess everything up. With TU, I sent in a paper documenting the wrong addresses. I'm not sure how to do the phone thing with EX and EQ.
iraqvet77
I called all cra today and I got tu and eq to remove my old addresses they are attached to couple of negative trade lines. I got ex to put a extra number to my old address that doesn't exist. They would remove the address so I figure adding a another number might help me out. What is the best course of action to get the negativ tradlines after I get response back from the 3 cra with updated credit report? Should I send a dispute in mail or online stating the accounts are mine or what? I looked at the forum and couldn't find a clear answer. I kept on seeing people's response that they got their negative trade line removed. Thanks a lot!!!

JayinSD
Morning everyone. I've been lurking here for a few months now and stumbled upon this thread. Going to call EX on Monday to dispute old addresses. I went to the TU dispute website to dispute old addresses just now, and it states the site is temporarily down. The site had options to get in (Internet, Phone, Mail...I chose Internet) and wanted me to re-enter all my personal info including current address etc. I'm not sure if this is normal protocol, but I did not fill anything out, and I left the page. Anyone have similar experiences with this? Thanks in advance!
MarcoRubio
what do u gain from deleting your old addresses from your reports? Why do u ppl wana see them off?
JayinSD
NYSMADMK8, I initially disputed old addresses over the phone with a young lady at LN, and she deleted all, including the one tied to my paid state tax lien, then I had my LN report frozen, so hopefully the CRA's can't access that (I know there are a few other types like LN, just can't remember them). I have to call EX to have addresses removed (which is showing paid and released state tax lien), do you think there is a good chance of getting that address tied to state tax lien removed easily and what is the method of getting that state tax lien removed after address tied to it is removed. (FYI, the state tax lien is showing on both EX and EQ, already disputed addresses on TU and EQ, just waiting for the removals). Thanks for your awesome contribution! RenaMariee
Transunion deleted all my addresses with no issue at all!! Time to get my report from Experian and call them up next. *crosses fingers*
4192club
Just got off the phone with EX. They deleted incorrect variations of my name. When I asked to delete an address that was tied to a closed (2007), positive account they pushed back. I said I was concerned about identity theft. They didn't budge. When I said this was a rental property and I had not lived there in quite a while they immediately said they would delete it. I asked for a paper report for confirmation. Good luck. Next round will be to attempt changing the address # of my existing address to include an additional zero. Currently have 7 negatives tied to this address. Will deleting an address of a closed non-reporting positive TL potentially delete that TL?

harryfpotter
How are you able to speak to Experian? I'm calling them at their fraud number; 888 397 3742 and all I'm getting is a short phone tree. Each path takes me to instructions on how to write them a letter.

Will deleting an address of a closed non-reporting positive TL potentially delete that TL? I called back into Experian today and after waiting on hold for 35 minutes I followed the script exactly as described in the first post noting how many letters I had sent and only adding it was my girlfriend's address when asked if I ever lived there. This last address was tied to 15 TLs, 7 of which have negatives, and was subsequently deleted after the agent put me on hold for a few minutes. Now for my reference and others, how does address matching work into the dispute process? How are you able to speak to Experian? I'm calling them at their fraud number; 888 397 3742 and all I'm getting is a short phone tree. Each path takes me to instructions on how to write them a letter. 800-493-1058
4192club
It is worth noting I purchased a virtual mailbox at Traveling Mailbox and made this my current address. They scan to pdf all inbound mail and it reports as a street address.
