So I'm always chatty with the manager at my local branch of Regions, and today he tells me that, as of this year, they no longer use EX for consumer credit applications. Of course, I've tried to confirm this info online somehow, but he said it was an internal bank communication that notified him.

I saw another thread from February where a CBer apped for a card with an HP, but it was for a business credit card, so that MAY be a differentiating factor. Or the change may have occurred after that. :dntknw: Or maybe my branch manager doesn't know what he's talking about...so as ALWAYS, test at your own risk.

His personal estimation is that they use TU for roughly 60% of applications; EQ for the rest.

I'd still put EX on ice before testing this...YMMV.

I wonder if this varies by state. I manage a branch for a company that gets some flack on here (so in fear of repercussions I won't disclose where, haha) but I've seen it mentioned several times that we pull experian exclusively and I can assure you that is incorrect, and it varies by state. I have managed locations in both Alabama and Florida and we pulled EQ, if for some reason the server to EQ was down then TU was our backup and then EX was the third and final choice. The only time we do multiple HP's is for a thin file.
