Anybody cut the cord on cable and liking it?

family forum so i can only say yes.

 

but even without that 'topic' i can say she's much more fun than my old one. we have many more common interests and she's more independent than my old gf.basicall a dream come true! she's redesigned my bathroom and helped me renovate it. and shown me there' s more to life than tv

No, but I've always wanted to. Our cable/internet bill is probably more than most people pay for a car payment. We have EVERYTHING (multiple DVR boxes, every single channel, etc). I used to always say that I don't even watch TV and wanted to get rid of it, but it is DH's one real extravagence and he pays for it out of his own "slush fund", so I didn't complain that much. And now i'm absolutely addicted to Game of Thrones, so the cable can stay :blush:

We pay $150 to cable incl. Internet and I would love to chop off cable. But I am adicted to sports/golf which are on premier channels like espn/golf.

Me, too...also what DW likes to refer to as the Murder Channels...ID Discovery, etc.

 

She still thinks I watch those to get ideas... :ph34r:

I cut the cable bill about five years ago. I miss some things. But I usually get my dose of those at my parents' house. Otherwise, my family makes due on Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, YouTube.
