It will improve your FAKO scores (which mean nothing - at least, it did mine - Amex Credit Secure). However, it won't have an impact on your actual FICO scores.

 

Just remember that your Federal Subsidized loans will have their interest paid by the gov't, so focus your payments on private loans that will accrue interest while they're being deferred.
