So about 2 years ago I disputed this account online as 'Not Mine' (I know, I know), and it was successfully deleted from EQ and TU. It remains on EX until 8/2015. My question is, if I send a DV letter to the CA, could that possibly trigger the account to show up on EQ and TU again? I have no records for this account, but I'm fairly certain that the DOFD was earlier than they are reporting.

I'm tempted to just file a CFPB complaint as I just had a great success with them on EX with Child Support; however, I am hesitant to push the envelope. Any advice?

I feel like the CFPB route may come back to bite me somehow, as it was too easy and I'm hesitant to push my luck. Just last week I filed DOFD complaints against EX and EQ about a child support account with no supporting docs. I've been battling that account for years and they both deleted like butter. Is there any potential downside to using the CFPB route?

EX is a slippery one. They responded to my CFPB complaint for the child support account, "This account is not currently on your credit report". Of course, they deleted it 3 days ago. Hopefully it doesn't pop up again. I feel like if they say they deleted it, I have better ammo if it gets re-inserted.

Anyway I was waiting for the official result on my prior complaint before filing a new one, which I just did today. Let's see what happens.

I made sure to include in my CKS complaint that EQ and TU deleted right away. Once this thorn in my side is gone, I have 2 more set to fall off next month then I'm clean as a whistle!
