I found my dream home, its a short sale. Realtor doesn't want to put a offer on it she says 113,000 is to get me interested. Then when I put a offer on it the bank will come back with the real price. I say okay lets see what happens am I missing something. :swoon:

The Realtor may be correct however they work for you and should do what you ask - if not find one that will

Agree!

Maybe she doesn't like dealing with the foreclosures and is looking for a quick sale? Any guess to her reasoning is just that. I'd be tempted to ask her myself. :)

Exactly-

OP, short sales can drag on for months and usually have several bumps along the way. The realtor likely doesn't want to deal with those issues. Either way, as Road stated, I would ask her directly so that you know why she is hesitating. Just be aware that if you proceed, the process won't be quick. Have the realtor provide you with some comps for recent sales in the same area. That will give you an idea of whether the listing price is realistic. Also, ask your realtor to contact the listing agent and find out if the seller's bank has given any indication of what they're looking to net on the home, and if the current owner started the short sale process with the bank.

realtors are quirky to say the least.

I've never found one you can really trust.

they all seem to have ulterior motives even when you're the client.

just have to make sure you're always watching your own back and running your own show.
