So far I've had great success here from advice from you all. This is my last derog, and I'm hoping to have a clean report by removing it. I just sent an e-mail to (what I think is) Chase Executive office, and hopes they can help. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

PS this is paid in full.

Below is my e-mail to the CEO - so far no response... it's been 3 days.

I am writing to see whether Chase Auto Finance would consider making a goodwill adjustment to the credit reporting bureaus on our closed car loan. I am asking whether Chase Auto Finance would remove the adverse late payment and settlement reporting from these accounts in reporting to the credit bureaus.

Unfortunately, in 2009, I took advantage of our relationship and failed to submit my monthly payment on time. It was an exceptionally busy and chaotic time in my life as I was balancing school, moving, and juggling a full time job. I fully respect my obligations to Chase and have repaid every penny I owe and am now working diligently to amend my relationship with you and regain your trust. I have since opened personal credit cards, as well as a car loan in 2012 and haven’t been late.

If what I’m asking is too much, then any goodwill adjustment to the reporting bureaus would be most appreciated. Regardless of your decision, please know that I thank you for helping me at a time when it was needed, and I hope to do business with Chase again one day.

The tradeline appears to be accurate. They repoed for the remaining balance $800, they sold the car for $5K, and sent me check for $4200. I'm at the point I'm willing to pay to remove it from my credit report. The other thing to note, it is my oldest account.
