Why not? Edit..I would hit Barclays first. Did you mean Capital one?

Make sure both report with 0 balance to maximize score then try a barclays card, like the Apple visa. Walmart might also be a good one to pick up, GE has awesome CLs and the FICO is nice.

Oh, i should mention: both Barclays and GE will pull TU.

WalMart card only gives monthly TU score free, but it is nice.
