You don't need to wait that long.

 

Right after Barclays I went after cap 1 spark. And quicksilver.

 

Used those for 6 months, got cli on both, Barclays took me from $1500 to $3,500

 

That was gateway to amex and chase.

 

If you have card paid off, no worries.

Thanks everyone. I have the Quicksilver One and Sportsman's Guide visa both of which I got about 4 months ago. The SG was a soft pull via the cart trick.

I applied and was declined. Called and the rep told me that they need to see me making a good payment history with my current card before they would approve me for another card.

I was denied back in June 2013 for this same reason as you Gudziel. I waited 6 months applied again and Approved. I say try again in 6 months from the time you have been denied, I also had no other inquiries on TU since that denial last year.

I hate using cards if I don't need to. I'm trying to pay off all of my CC debt! Maybe I will put the daily pullers onto the barclay card I have now. Perform my pulls to get B* with that card.
