Amex - Has 20 years been long enough?

I envy the Amex Gold Delta. I would like to pick one up sometime soon but a very long time ago I had a CO from Amex for about 5k. It was about 20/21 ears ago at this point. I can settle it all nup and of course it doesn't report but I wonder if I would still be blacklisted right now before it is settled up. What do the gurus know?

I don't really sweat inquiries but I'm getting close to a number I don't like for them.

There is NO inquiry if you are still blacklisted.

7-10 day type message and an inq on EX so I guess it was long enough. If they approve me will I be being greedy by asking for D* even though I owe them?

that's SOP for Amex after a CO situation. they did the same thing to me. but once I sent them, they backed off and have been great since!

Interesting, they didn't ask for my financials, I was instantly approved. Granted I also paid in full the CO I had with them ~10yrs ago
