I have a bill that was posted on my credit 7/13, I would love to get this removed. Do I a) pay the bill and afterwords dispute it to try to get it removed. B) try to do something like correct all of my address and say this bill isn't mine. c) try too settle it and only pay 650.00. I am about to move and will be trying to rent a new place to live in CA, I live in OK now. My scores are EXP: 630 EQ: 640 TRA:675. This just recently hit without this I would be pretty close to 700's. Any advice?

In general, making a settlement doesnt look good for your report. If the service is still active, try to speak to a department, i.e. Retentions and see if they can reduce the bill somewhat for you. If they can get something off, then PIF

When was the DOFD?

Be careful trying to fight this within your state's SOL for filing suit. If it is within the SOL, any chance at paying a reduced rate will most likely not happen. This is not a small amount and if the CA is, by chance, reporting correctly with all documentation from the cell company; they will not easily walk away from this amount.

Please answer the DOFD on the account with cell phone company on the original bill and we can go from there.

it was opened through enhanced recovery service 7/13 reported 9/13, the at&t bill was originally delinquent 2/12 they probably sold it 3/12, I was put in the hospital due to a car accident, i was there for 4months, then moved to my girlfriends house afterwords so she could take care of me. I would of paid t but it slipped my mind, the bill was going to my old address.
