sportsman's guide visa approved under maiden name

I can't get the shopping cart trick to work under my wife married name while on sportsman guide but it works fine under the maiden name.

The other comenity cards will take both married and maiden names for "shopping cart trick" and the pre approvals pop up every time on both names.

Is it worth the hard pull to apply under the married name?

 

I tried checking the back door for soft pulls but she's locked out of experian and transunion

They use Equifax most of the times, if not exclusively, and even with a pre approval through the shopping cart trick you can still get a hard pull, it happened to me twice.

We got the 7-10 day message aka (denial on the way )

7-10 day message does not automatically mean denial, I got approved with this kind of message. The 7-10 day message has three possible outcomes: receive card, receive denial or receive a letter with a code that you need to call in and verify after which, if successfully done, they will send you the card.

I hope youre right ive never seen a 7-10 day message approval before maybe comenity is different

When we got married I disputed the maiden name showing up on my wife's CR and got it removed. You're better off cleaning that up ASAP so there's no confusion like this going forward.

The name, address and other personal ID info must match what is on file with most likely EQ. You must also not have a freeze or opt out in place on EQ.

I didn't get Sportsman's until my EQ went poked up over 700...maybe they are looking for that.
