I have a loan with Santander that i want to pay off in a few days but I'm not sure if i should.

Only Experian is reporting it correctly. negatives are 30 day lates in nov & dec 2009 and one 30 day in oct 2010.

I filed for BK in January 08, Santander is showing IIB on TU and Eq even though it was reaffirmed.

How are the two different methods of reporting affecting me? Am i better off letting it report as IIB?

I thought about doing a GW with them but after searching it doesn't look promising. Would paying them off be positive or negative on GW efforts?

Thanks to all for your input.

Thanks for the reply.

This is the only negative info since my BK.

Would trying GW with Santander possibly cause it to be reported correctly on TU or EQ or should i just pay it off and be happy its not reporting correctly?

My loan was sold to Santander and after almost 4 years of perfect payments they did the exact same thing to me with the odd reporting of late payments that make no sense. Google class action suits and Santander there are several firms pursuing them. I joined one and it may be our only option. They do NOT do GW at all. I paid them off early just to be rid of them. Now they send me letters asking me to come back. NO WAY. I would walk before financing anything with them.

They have been a bad one to work with. If I was smart i would have kept better records of everything since my BK. I can only assume that i was actually late the three times listed. It just confuzes me that they report as iib on two reports and not on the other.

We had a loan with them in 2003, it went to reposession for about 10 days. We paid off the full balance, redeemed the vehicle and even got a refund of our payment made before the repo (it was sitting in their drop box). However the loan never reported correctly, 4 months after it was paid off we had to call to get the title released and get it updated to paid. It reported : repossession, can not locate. Finally they updated my husbands report to show PIF removed the lates, making it a positive line. My report kept the lates and repossession but had a zero balance. It was a joint account so should have reported the same thing, finally it was just deleted from my report after many requests for it to be fixed. I don't believe their reporting information is tied into the accounts, just too many inconsistancy's in how they report for it to be right.
