no reasons listed for EX

TU says: "The balances on your non-mortgage credit accounts are too high" and that "Most FICO High Achievers carry a total balance of less than $1200 on non-mortgage accounts."

reports my utilization is 1%. The highest single card utilization is 8%.

EQ says: first factor "You have too many credit cards carrying balances." and "Your FICO Score was hurt because you are carrying balances on too many credit cards at once."

account with balances = 6 (the same as reported on EX and TU)

second factor "You've recently been looking for credit." (two inquiries in the past week)

What is your prediction of what will happen when my 3 new accounts (Comenity FR, Discover sIT, and CITI TY) start reporting?

place your bets now...

I predict it will have a negative effect on new applications.

So if you see anything else that appeals, now is the time... :P

my spouse gets the same negative factor from EQ and the same first neg factor from TU with only 4 cards with balances (EQ score 787, TU 790, EX 850). Note, no inquiries on any CRA and half the number of tradelines as me.

Hege, If you haven't already joined try State Dept FCU. They pull EX. Chip and Pin. No FTF. Not so great on the rewards however. I joined after I read your thread a few years back.
