I went there to again put in a dispute on my only former address, and it is giving me the "Information does not match" message (now) and I am still waiting for the address to fall off.. I hope it will, as I made it the only item in my "dispute summary."

has this happened to anyone else?

Yes. I have found/read/experienced that they will lock you out if they think you have used it too much, use it while another dispute is pending if you used a different method in the older dispute and if they feel like it.

  • 4 months later...

I think I've been locked out of the back door too, I've logged on everyay now since the begininng of January, since then I've made about 95 different disputes and have had about 28 negative tradlines removed, only 3 more to go, but now when I try to log on I just get the same system temporarily unavailable message and havent been able to get back in? WTF?

Nah...they eventually lock you out of the service you're paying for, too. Trust me...been through it twice. And they make cancelling almost impossible. I finally cancelled by email after being locked outta my "unlimited" service for 2 weeks.

The upside: as soon as it was cancelled, I was able to pull EQ on a DIFFERENT service I use. (EQ blocked the 3rd party puller, too, when they locked me out of their own.)

I wasn't blocked from other products the first time back in October 2013, and that went on for 3 weeks. This time I was.

You mentioned that you've logged in every day since January. If you're talking about going through the EQ "backdoor" that follows the path to dispute an item on your report, then I'm stunned that they let it go on this long. EQ locked me out of THAT option long before I started getting shut out of their own unlimited monitoring product. You are definitely locked out of online access to your report. They are quick to do that...I'm sincerely shocked you got away with it daily (or anything more than once a week!) since January.

They shut me out about 2 years ago, and I may have been doing it once a month!

Yes I have logged in everyday since the beinning of January, although I do not start a new dispute everday, I just look and wait for creditors to verify so I can dispute it right back the same day they verify, but after doing it for 5 months, 28 of my 31 baddies have already been deleted, I just got 3 more to go, 2 nelnet student loans that i defaulted on that drop of March/2015 and an old Chase CO thats zerod out that comes off in November 2014, but I have started about 95 different disputes, when I go to the back door, I can click on the box to check my status and see my 95 different disputes, but when I click on Get Started to get inside my credit report it just keeps saying the same thing "system temporarily unavailable" and it tells me to try dispute by email system.

I think I went wrong when I started disputing inquiries on a daily basis about a month ago, it never even works anyway.

I dont know its been happening for me 5 days in a row now and 5 days ago i disputed my sl's for like the 8th time but I hope your right, i need to get those last 3 negatives off and I want to just start disputing them as obsolete within 6 months of the fall off dates, besides Ive learned my lesson, no more frivilous disputes only important ones and ill leave those inquires alone I only have 4 left anyway down from 12 and 1 falls off in august so ill only have 3 and I can live with that, What do you mean split your file?

I mean this with the utmost respect -- you're going about credit repair in a way that can (and often does) make a mess of things...in some very potentially damaging ways. I highly recommend you do some reading in the Newbie Section and all of the pinned topics on here. I realize that your "success" thus far may give you the feeling that you've got this thing figured out, so I'm not here to preach. But it would be blatant negligence on my part if I didn't warn ya. Jus' sayin'...

Disputing online constantly will not get the desired results long term. There are many methods to get rid of negative accounts, the least effective percentage wise is inline disputing.

If there is one lesson I can draw from my own experience so far is patience is of utmost importance.

I have had smashing success so far too, but we have to realize that will not always be the case, don't get discouraged by setbacks, because they will come. CRAS do not like us poking our noses in OUR own files, so we need to be methodical about how we check on things.

Also "split file" commonly happens with EQ for a multitude of reasons. On being heavy monitoring with their own service. They will tend to split your file into 2. Last month they split my file and when I pulled it one day all that was on it was a BK and an IIB account from Kay jewelers. My other 40 accounts from the last ten years had vanished. I had to call corporate office to fix the problem.

Thank you I would be pretty stupid If I didnt listen, and I have read in the newbies section, Im not sure what youre refering to but I want to learn, I just saying my EQ Fico started out as a 494 about 8 months ago and today its a 663 and im expected it to climb some in the morning, im expecting an email from score watch, and EQ doesnt even have any of my old accounts in good standing like my 8 morgages I paid off, several sl's that i consolidated and all kinds of credit cards ive closed in the past, i think EQ only keeps old accounts on their reports if theyre bad, so my AAOA is really low compared to EX nd TU, any advice would be greatly appreciated, i am far from claiming i know it all, im just saying i think im making good progress.

thank you mustang, maybe thats what already happened to my EQ report and the reason why none of my old accounts in good standing are not showing including 8 morgages i paid off and was never late on any of them?

Just know that a split file is not exclusive to EQ -- my TU split and remained that way for a few years. I didn't know anything about that issue, and I wasn't paying attention to my credit then. So data storage issues are just one of many self-induced debacles that can come with rapid-fire online disputing...even just accessing your file and not initiating a dispute can do it. Every time you access your file, the event is stored as a soft pull on your report. Pile up enough of those, and it causes heartache -- that's why I couldn't access EQ by any means the past 2 weeks. Data overload.

And that's one way files get split -- the data volume wildly exceeds the allotted space for certain categories, and the system fragments the report. Poof, you have an additional file number. Think about it -- how many times do you think the average consumer pulls his own report online...?? Would EQ design their storage space on a file to allow for unlimited space to be consumed by soft pulls, which are merely evidence of us circumventing the system?

And if one has a split file, you know which version a lender sees when he pulls a report for an application...? Neither do I. Because it's likely a crap shoot. :dntknw:

yeah that makes sense, thanks for the info, maybe thats why ive been reading on here about bumping off inquries on TU and EQ by piling up soft hits, i think its like once you hit 89 soft inquiries your hard inquiries start falling off of EQ and TU, dont think it works for EX, and i think it already happened to me by having an overload of data, like you said because when i first pulled my reports i had 2 TU reports and once enough stuff got removed it went back down to one report, and EQ well like i said all my good stuff just wasnt there at all, 8 paid off morgages, like 8 paid off student loans and maybe 8 or 10 paid and closed cc's, ill have to call eq and see if all those accounts are still out there somewhere.
