Since I was able to get a Chase Business card, I applied for the American Express Simplycash Business Credit Card on the weekend. I did not get an instant approval but on Monday I received an approval for $3k. I called to activate the card and did not want to apply for a CLI, so they offered to pull $2k from a personal card that I do not use and gave me $5k for the final limit.

I am glad to start building my business credit. My card may say 2014 but I get the 1987 date when I log in which will hopefully help the business credit report.

Started reading here last November, didn't app anything until February of this year.

So far in 2014 I've been approved for:

USAA AmEx - $5000

USAA World MC - $6000

AmEx BCE - $5900 (And D* to 1993!!!)

NFCU Visa Cash Rewards Sig - $17,500

Toyota Motor Credit - 12k Auto Loan

Have also upped my previous cards:

Amazon Store Card - $300 up to $900 $2000

PayPal SmartConnect - $300 up to $600 $2000

Bealls (Comenity) - $600 up to $1030

And to think, in Fall of 2013 I couldn't get an auto loan or even a store card CLI... CB is a magical place, lol... :blush2:

Had to update, saw the GERCB UW thread and made a call... :yes2:

The last of my baddies dropped off in December, so this was my re-establish credit year. I'll start.

January:

Reliable Financial (Wells Fargo) $25k car loan

First Tech CU $25k car loan (refi'd the previous loan immediately with a lower rate and better terms)

May:

Sweetwater Music GECRB - $1k

American Airlines Credit Card CITI (not the AAdvantage card) - $3500

Santander Jetblue MC - $2k

Banco Popular Novel Dual Visa/Amex - $1k

I'll hang onto these for 6 months or so, and then try for something better.

Had a very successful app spree for store cards last month:

Walmart 600

Amazon 600

Paypal SC 500

Target 300

Loft 250

Express 250

HSN -- thought this was a denial, but after verifying my info approved for $1k!

Credit One 300 -- closed immediately. No thanks on the crazy fees. Not sure why I app'd for that one - maybe I have an app addiction?

And an auto loan for $32k

Not a bad couple of days (all CC's were app'd on the same day). The additional TL's are helping bring down my utilization with the $3500 of new avail credit, so that's offsetting the inq hit and I have a long history, so these aren't isn't hurting my AAOA too much as far as I can tell. And I was thrilled to see the car dealer only sent my app to one bank -- instead of the shopping around that I've experienced with a lower score.

Before I put everything on credit pulls, I give everyone the run down.

So to start I have no credit cards, 1 car loan and several paid as agreed closed accounts.

Transunion is clean 1 car loan fako of 702

Experian doesn't have the car loan has 1 judgement that falls off in a year since no accounts score is zero

Equifax 1 car loan and 1 judgement that falls off in a year fako of 680

So my goal was to apply for only credit cards that pull from Transunion

4/20 Amex Gold Delta approved 2000 pulled transunion and experian

4/20 Discover IT denied Pulled experian and equifax

4/20 Barclay Arrival denied No pull showed up, I think they pulled experian

So after receiving my Amex to my surprise they backdated to 1987 and my credit history went from 10 years to 27 years

5/2 Barclay rewards approved 1500 pulled transunion

5/2 Walmart ge denied pulled transunion, but denied because address and phone number is not the same as what is on my credit report

5/2 Chase freedom 30 day notice pulled experian and equifax sent me a letter to verify identity which I did then the csr said that I would receive a form that I would have to fill out and send back "I was like forget it"

So the lesson I learned is make sure my address is the same as on my credit report, otherwise you'll have a hard time. Changed address on transunion and experian

5/23 paypal master GE approved 3000 pulled transunion

5/23 meijer visa GE approved 500 pulled transunion

6/3 fuel rewards 10 day notice pulled equfax I'm sure its denied

6/7 firestone approved 1800 pulled transunion

So now I'm done started with 0 cards and now have 5 cards with limits of 8800. My credit score has really jumped equifax 760 experian 740 and transunion 815, thanks to AMEX and their back dating.

Now time to start Bumping those soft pulls, I've already bumped 2 transunion.

Got my Amex BCP yesterday. $2000 CLI. My first real card.

Thank you everyone for your help. Thank you for telling me to apply at Amex with my thin file. I never would have thought that they'd approve me.

Not bad for June for me:

Firestone $1,400

Dillards Amex $750 (temp CL)

Walmart Discover $800 (temp CL $500)

14 new accounts in 6 months

TU score around 698

I am down to store card approvals as I know that I need to garden for awhile! It is so hard to do! No lectures needed....

A few accounts will hit the 6 month mark in July and hoping for some AUTO CLI's. This includes Capital One, Barclay's, Walmart Store Card and a Navy account. All are PIF's and have $0.00 balances.

(Comenity) DSW Visa Sig. $12k, I did not get the shopping cart pop up.

UNFCU Visa Elite - $15k

Citi Hilton Honors Visa Sig - $13,900. App initially declined by the system so I called recon, it was flagged for inquiries but the Underwriter overrode the system since 4 were from Amex. I used the 60k points link from flyertalk.
