you have 3 cards listed in your sig. how do you have no credit history?

OP has no credit history because all his/her credit cards were opened within the last two months. OP's file is still way too thin for FICO to generate a score.

To answer OP's question, your best bet is to check the creditpull database, but I wouldn't app if I were you.

Firestone is one of the easier approvals. With that said: OP, why don't you just put the tires on one of the cards you already have?

The Firestone card probably isn't something you're going to value in a year, so consider that as well.

Is there a rebate tied to using the Firestone card or something? Discount Tire does that sometimes...

Not sure on rebates, but I think they always do the 0% for 6 months. If thats what OP needs.

That is correct. The OP would qualify for 0% at 6 months.

I thought from reading on here that high utilization is bad and putting it on my cap one card would about max it out. So I figured if I can get a firestone card to out the tires on depending on the cl it would keep my utiliztion down.

How much are the tires, and are you planning to carry the balance?

Look at the approval amounts for the Firestone cards on Creditpulls. I think you may get approved for the card, but only with a few-hundred-dollar limit since your credit history is very short. High util will kill you no matter which card it's on.

Discount tire also has a GE backed card, worth a try as well. Carcareone can be used at most mechanics. Firestone is pretty much a tire place, as soon as you have them do something mechanical or maintenance related in my experience it is dealer prices or higher.

And try Walmart, they have interest promotions and sell tires. All 4 tires you could probably get 12 months interest deferred http://i.walmartimages.com/i/if/hmp/fusion/9600_WM_Cert_R.PDF . That is a card you'll value with the FICO and also who doesn't need stuff from Walmart, right?

I was only able to get $600 on the GE/Discount Tire card (and that's AFTER recon... I originally got a $500 limit!). This wouldn't pay for two tires, installed.

Walmart doesn't have tires for all cars (they don't carry them for mine), but it's definitely worth a try if your car has mainstream tire requirements.

Denied for firestone for no credit history, denied walmart

Let your current accounts age and then app again in 6 months.

That is my plan now. I got way to many inquiries trying to build my credit :(

250$ per tire? (fat, "Z" rated low profiles i'd guess) What are you driving? Similar prices for me usually.
