HSBC - TU - 7/2014 - Removed 1/24

Midland - TU - 7/2014 - Removed 1/24

Pinnacle - TU - 8/2014

Disputed all as obsolete online. Wish me luck.

Update! 4 deletions on TU. Might wait 'til mid next month and send the mail form in for the remaining 3. The 6 month mark may be the golden ticket here!

so it seems my Barclays Apple was deleted as obsolete by TU this month. They sent me a letter that did not say anything about their decision AFAIK. But, the website said it was deleted.

Odd.

Does that mean I can ask them for a new credit report showing it is gone or I should not bother? I also need to find out if the other two CRAs followed suit, as I send obsolete letters to all of them.

Fairly confident one of my TL's has a DFOD earlier then being reported. Submitted a TU web based request. Sort of in a holding pattern with the mortgage app in 40 days. So this is my last attempt before I put a hold on my activities.

Was it the web based request where you fill in the blank form? If so I usually see results in 24-72 hours. Good Luck.

Yeah, web based.

I am batting 92% with it in the last month.

Crossing my fingers for you!

I have a running theory with TU. I think they auto delete everything within 6 months. Older than that, it might be luck of the draw or it might be that lines fall off because the data furnisher doesn't reply.

In my case, I disputed 5 lines that were within 6 months and 1 line that was 7 months.

When I checked my status, it said that 5 were resolved within a few days. The 6th TL took a few weeks to complete and came back verified. So I think they didn't contact the furnisher for the first 5 and they did for the 1 line that was 7 months away from delete.

That single 7 month out TL held up the resolution of the other 5. All of them were tied to my current address.

In Feb. I'm going to dispute a bunch of OCs and see how it goes.

I'm interested in the time it takes for other people's disputes to complete relative to how far out they are.

For mine, mentioned above, they were off within 48 hours. My second set of disputes were actually off within hours, as I pulled USAA after and they were gone. I received the letter in the mail conforming about 8 - 10 days later.

Same results for me, disputed 7, 4 of which were 6 months out, the other 3 were 7 months. Took a couple of weeks, but the 4 came back deleted and the 3 stuck. Also going to dispute the remaining 3 on 2/1

hmmm well I really hope they don't contact them. I don't know that it would matter but the OC is capital one auto. It is a car loan that was never paid and the car was never repoed. I know they sold the debt to someone but the someone has never contacted me. It is a very strange situation and the only thing that worries me about getting a mortgage.

I did an obsolete on all 3 today via online. EQ and EX it is going off on 04/14 and my TU one is 09/14. I am most hopeful for the TU one. If the others dont, they will be gone soon enough.

I just pulled MPM and my 04/14 TL is gone already. That was pretty quick.

That's awesome - is it gone from both EQ and EX? This is a CO, right?

putting this to the test for an OC account on EX that is reporting several 120+, set to fall off in May.

So far three separate phone calls have failed. Mail time.

I got impatient and spoke to an Experian rep via chat who agreed to remove this (May, 4 months out, tied to an old removed address).

Got my last derog (scheduled until Mar) removed across all 3 via online dispute.

Clean reports for the first time in 10 years.

I had it removed from TU in november. It was removed from EX today. I guess I should have been more specific. It is actual not a charge off. It is a -2440 bank account that they have never tried to collect on. It went negative because of the 5 payday loans that I took out. They kept zapping my account until the bank closed it. The bank wouldnt remove the fees so it just sat there for the last 7 years.

Okay, I just submitted a dispute via the TU web-based form. It's for my horrid First Premier CO that is finally set to come off June 2014 (according to TU - on EX, it's set to come off in April 2014).

Fingers crossed - I hope it gets removed! I'll update with results.

Just checked USAA and First premier is GONE from my TU report!!! I am so so so excited I want to jump up and down. This account has been a HUGE pain in my @$$ for so many years! Now I just need to do an obsolete dispute with them on EQ and EX...wish me luck!

I disputed LVNV and Cap One both as obsolete. (LVNV is the JDB for Cap One so both are due to fall off at the same time.) They are 4 months from falling off so I thought I would take a shot with all three CRA's. Still waiting on EQ and TU to report back but EX sent me an email this morning and both were listed as updated, although I didn't notice anything changed. Point is, they weren't deleted. :cry2: Now for the embarrassing part, I made the HUGE mistake of disputing online rather than sending through the mail. Learned that lesson the hard way, I suppose I will try again in a month or so and will be sending through the mail from now on!!

Anyone have luck with deleting LVNV (my biggest PITA)? Currently scheduled to fall off on 7/2014 with one CRA and 8/2014 but they report balance every month

You said that you are looking to buy a house later this year. What is your time frame for this purchase? I am asking because if you are looking at say May then I would wait until April to dispute these as obsolete. There are people who have gotten TU to get removed the earliest.

When sending an obsolete letter just keep it simple. You don't need ANY explanation. All you need to do is say that the TL is past the legal reporting limit. When I get home from work I will post my obsolete letter for you to see. I may have already posted it in this thread but I can't remember.

One last thing, Do you have your paper copies of your reports? You need the file number in order to do a disputer by mail. If not get those ASAP before you dispute anything.
