Update:

Nothing has dropped off.

1 JDB has the "disputed" note. None of the others have any indication of being in dispute.

I haven't heard anything from TU nor EX.

All of these JDBs are tied to my current address.

I disputed online as "no longer responsible for this" with the note "obsolete."

If they come back verified, I will follow up with Whychat's' SOL program. I am in California and we have pretty good protections.

Any updates from anyone else?

I would not dispute anything online.

I have a few on EX due to come off in August, and September.

My paid judgement is what I am most concerned about and that is scheduled for August. I am going to send letter in April/May I think.

I started my credit repair kind of late. I mailed out obsolete letters in the middle of August when most of my baddies were set to fall off in Oct, Nov and Dec. I had a couple of more recent medical collections that were removed using WhyChat's method.

Everything was deleted off of my reports except for Midland on EX. They have re-aged it. It should have fallen off in October 2013, but they're saying it will be on my report until October 2014. I have a current CFPB complaint going right now with Midland and EX. I ask for documentation showing DOFD. They keep sending me a PIF letter.

Chase - TU - 7/2014

Credit One - TU - 8/2014

Fifth Third - TU - 8/2014

HSBC - TU - 7/2014

HSBC Best Buy - TU - 7/2014

Midland - TU - 7/2014

Pinnacle - TU - 8/2014

Disputed all as obsolete online. Wish me luck.

Today is day 11 for me. Most JDBs are listed as in dispute now. One JDB has updated to " closed" on TU.

I find that the JDB accounts are generally listed as open on TU but closed on the other 2. When I dispute, they change to closed.

Looks like they are contacting the furnisher on all of my disputes.

Equifax and Transunion both declined to delete a CO that is scheduled to fall off on 08/14. Oh well..

how did you do the request?

I have a major OC baddie that is scheduled to fall off all 3 (4?) in December, 2014. I'm really debating with myself whether I need to wait until June to dispute as "obsolete."

Me too, I have a paid Chase CO with +120 lates, its scheduled to drop 12/14. I want to dispute it now, but I don't know if its a good idea.

Y'all have nothing to lose but time and postage.

I was able to dispute a 6.6 year old debt on TU that reported a balance of 1k. I did it online through TU online form since I am locked out of their online dispute. I did it along with removing old addresses and it was gone in 5 days. I did another paid but late oc that has been closed since 2007 on Saturday, and I am hoping it will fall of any day now. My mortgage lender told me that if it said disputed by consumer I needed to have it removed fromt he account or have the account deleted before they would let me close the loan.

Same -- have a OC listed with 120+ lates that are expected to fall off in November and December 2014. Keeping an eye on this thread!

I just did a bunch of obsolete disputes. 5 of 8 were removed from TU and 3 were updated, 2 should fall off in April but I'll try again in a month. 3 off ex but 2 were updated from charge offs schedules to fall off by July and now it's saying closed, sold to another lender and will be there until 2018. 3 off eq with 2 more still pending.

You're going to dispute that, I hope? DOFD can't magically change.

Yes. I'm just not sure if I should do a cfpb dispute. It shows charge off on the other 2 reports just not ex. They are both old HSBC accts and tied to CAs.

Great thread as I am also coming up on dates where I want to delete as obsolete!
