The Master obsolete delete time frame thread

Called Transunion today and got removed one Capital One charged off account and 2 collections all due to fall off in December. Previously I've disputed all three online as obsolete and no luck. The rep on the phone today wanted to open yet another dispute, so I had to ask for a supervisor who deleted them within a couple of minutes

I usually just let them open the dispute and they drop off the following morning.

What does under 30% mean? Nothing.

 

Experian says different. So tell me, oh wise one, what percentages if any mean anything at all? 0% Nothing. 99% Nothing. Nothing means anything, we just deal with random numbers here.

Took about 10 minutes.

Interesting item to note before I got the 2 items deleted my TU08 was 664.

Deleted was a 12 yr old account that was charged off, 4 year collection.

Also the Playstation visa finally appeared.

Score dropped 32 points.

Only have 10 baddies left so I suspect by Age took a beating and I got rebucketed.

But hey utilization went down 11.3k to 33%.

Good news!

 

Just spoke to a rep at EX who was so helpful and friendly. He went through my CR with me and deleted 2 charge-offs due to fall off in October and said to call back at the end of next week and 3 more could be deleted. Interestingly enough, my husband recently disputed one of these, the only joint account we had, it was verified and updated on both of our reports. Luckily it was one that was just deleted!

 

I've never had much luck with EX--everything usually comes back verified, updated ...pretty much everything but deleted, so this was a win for me

About 10k, utilization now under 30%.

Still have 7 more to go this year.

3 charge off with zero balance.

4 have balances.

Will check my TU fico shortly.

I called EX this morning and 5 were deleted--4 charge-offs and one paid collection. All were scheduled for removal by 12/2018. That leaves one charge-off on Experian. I could kick myself for not picking up the phone before now!!!

 

Yesterday I disputed one account online with TU and it's gone. There's one left that I can get rid of next month and that's it for TU.

 

I'm really hesitant to dispute with EQ as most of my charge-offs aren't updating and all should be gone by Feb/March.

 

I started with 10 charged-off accounts and 10 collections (some medical) in 2014. "Only" one resulted in a judgment -not showing on my reports but the related paid collection has now been removed from TU and EX.

 

I still have strings of late pays on several accounts which I paid in full either by payment plan or regular payments. Some of these are open while others are closed. All report "paid as agreed" with most of the lates coming from 2012.

Just called into EX and got dreaded Sallie Mae/Navient deleted for being obsolete. It was scheduled for deletion next month (3mo early)Thats 7 COs Now jus waiting for November and call EQ for the same 7 accounts and see if i can get them deleted earlier than December. Gotta work on this utilization tho . But i will have 0 late pays. Shoot all of them were tied to Navient

Done the research the most theyll give u is about one month from what ive saw but in my situation trying to get this tier 1 car pricing. So hopefully two bureau scores will outweigh the 1 Heard cases like that but yep.

I got a paid collection off Equifax today that wasn't due to drop off until 4/2019.  I was actually trying to get them to remove a duplicate collection, but tossed this one in the dispute just for the heck of it.  They left the two identical $35 medical collections that I was actually trying to get to just one, as they're the same stupid thing, but removed the paid off one.  I guess that's one less collection.  Now just have the two duplicate ones and no other derogatories left - just lates.

I just had to fax a dispute to Experian because my file is so big they can't do it over the phone.

Thinking I will mail it also next week.

Had to call Experian back this afternoon. The dispute rep only deleted one account out of the 6 that share account numbers. Spoke to a case manager she updated record. At 6pm dispute complete. They are to be deleted. Just awaiting credit report/credit score update. Sheesh. Like a love sick puppy checkin my son email and ex acct every 30 min lol.

Seems they started working on my Fax dispute, one item dropped already, so I expect Monday morning they will continue working on it.

Hoping to get at least half deleted, some of them have delete dates of 10/18 so I might not get those deleted this go around.

Score already gone up 5 points from last night.

Awesome@althes. My Experian jumped up 70 points after deleting all those 6 navients. TU and EX lookin good now, the estimators say i can b at a good 715 wit these in 45 days (the first goal) . EQ is gonna lag for a bit. Good luck to u.

All I got was we don't delete items early.

Does anyone have a number I can call, the overseas reps don't seem to be of any help.

How do you go from talking to one person to "overseas reps don't seem to be of any help?"

Put in 5 disputes for items dropping in Oct as no longer liable, with the note these items are obsolete.

Got rid of everything dropping in Aug and Sep.
