I recently sent out a Jack Attack dispute to Experian and Equifax:

Equifax verified everything, while Experian refused to re-investigate. In response to Experian's previously verified claim, I filed complaints with both the CFPB and the BBB demanding they investigate my claims.

 

Today, I received Experian's response to my BBB complaint:

 

 

Dear Los Angeles BBB:

Our office recently received your correspondence of November 7, 2013 regarding the above

mentioned consumer's complaint.

We have mailed a current credit report directly to the consumer for review. If there is information

appearing on a credit report that is believed to be inaccu~ate or incomplete, we must have a specific

dispute. Examples of specific disputes are as follows: "not mine, paid in full, never delinquent or

included in bankruptcy" or for public record disputes: "not mine, paid/satisfied, vacated or filed in

error". If the status dates, amounts, balances or other specific data is incorrect, the consumer should

also indicate what the correct information should be. Please specify the item or account name and

number.

Please provide the consumer's specific disputes along with their complete identification information

(Social Security number, full name, current address, previous addresses in the last two years and date

of birth). Also, please include one copy of a govemment issued identification card, such as a driver's

license, state 10 card, military ID card, etc., and one copy of a utility bill, bank or insurance statement,

etc.

 

 

How would you all respond to this letter?

 

Also, less importantly, how would you all repsond to Equifax "updating" everything listed in the Jack Attack?

Another bump ... Need to respond to Experian/BBB.

 

I'm thinking of just telling them to refer to my original letter, and that it explains in plenty of detail what exactly the problem is ...

Did you submit a copy of your original dispute letter to the BBB yet? I may be wrong but that's the paper trail you have so make sure they have a copy.

A copy of the Jack Attack letter was attached to the BBB complaint.

 

I responded to the BBB by requesting Experian to refer to the attached letter, and to remove each and every disputed account as mentioned in my dispute.
