I've been locked out from their online access for about 1.5 years now, and no number of phone calls could give me any reason why I am locked out. The main reason I want online access is to start disputing accounts due to fall off in 2015 as "obsolete," starting in 2014. I do all of my regular disputes by mail.

I opened up a dispute with the CFPB last week, stating that I have been unable to view my report, dispute or check the status of my disputes online for 1.5 years, and that I want access to do these things online restored. Their initial response stated that since I was unable to view my report, that they would be mailing me a copy. I selected the "did not address my issue" option yesterday and said that I have no issue getting my report by mail, an that I want full online access restored. As of today, I am now able to login and view the status of my current dispute. I still can't view my report, but I also haven't heard back from the CFPB yet. It seems that they are responding to my complaint though and this may be a route for people to take that want online access restored.

I will update when I get a final response back from the CFPB and if ALL of my online access is restored.

Been locked out for years. Plus, had to fight to get a copy of my free annual report. Sent them a copy of license and proof of residence. Finally, sent them a copy of the online complaints I filed with the FTC online and my state attorney general's office. Finally got the report a month later.

Just to update, I would have been able to get my TU credit report, but was denied because I have an open dispute with TU that should close in the next few days. It's been so long since I had online access that I don't remember if this is normal. I still have not heard back from the CFPB, although it appears that my dispute through them worked.

My file wasn't split. I was able to login (my name appeared at the top of the screen), but could not access anything online.

Hmmmm. I was able to login also, just couldn't do anything after getting logged in. Just got the we are unable to complete this action online at this time. please call blah blah blah for assistance.

Hopefully you can get it figured out, but i won't hold my breath for you, Everyone i've talked to at TU seems to be a total moron

If you have read this thread, you would see that I did get it figured out. ;)

I have access restored.

Just for giggles, I just filed a complaint with the CFPB showing a current screen shot where TrueCredit is STILL offering "Unlimited updates". I pointed out that this is fraudulent because if you do this, even for a valid reason such as ID Theft, you get a lifetime ban. I also showed how I was denied my free year of credit reporting with TU/TC that I received via a class action lawsuit. I asked the CFPB to hold them accountable for their agreement with the consumers and give unlimited updates, to remove ALL lifetime bans that were instituted through TU claims of abuse of these "unlimited updates", to give me my free year of credit monitoring that they denied me, and to prevent TU from banning users in the future for alleged "abuse" through "unlimited updates" to their report.

Get the popcorn and I'll keep ya'll updated.....

Wait, are you implying there might be an invalid reason?

If your able to see your dispute then yeah, your ban is over. But you cant see your file or dispute anything else until around 30 days from your last dispute end date. The great thing about transunion ive noticed lately is they will delete almost anything faster than equifax or experian. much easier to work with.

I think after you login 4 times, it locks you out again. It told me last time, I looked at mine that this was my 4th & last time I can see this report! I have not tried to log in since. I will try it now.

Dont forget to file complaints with your state AG's office. A lot of states are up EX's backdoor, and I think they should look at TU as well.
