The Master A Modest Proposal Thread (Feel Free to add Yours)

Recommended Posts

Premise: Credit Repair is a Long-Term Proposition

Premise: One Month is NOT Long-Term

Conclusion: Read CreditBoards for One Month BEFORE Taking Action

I'm modifying this to

Read AND POST for One Month BEFORE taking Action

The reason being is that just reading leads some people to think they have the right answers.

It's only when they start posting their somewhat incomplete grasp of the details,

and are corrected,

that deeper understanding develops.

Seriously,

a lot of newbies ask a few questions,

get some answers,

and go away.

If somebody is serious about improving their credit,

it takes a lot of reading,

before intelligent questions can even be formulated.

I read A LOT more than I post,

a good rule of thumb to follow. ;)

Some sage advice from Bob. :good:

Reading is really boring. Just stop being an Flower Pot and give me the answer, `cause I'm a very busy person and my joints are hurting me on account of the rheumatoid. Oh, and I need to get this done tonight so I can get my mortgage in the morning. I saw a single-level cement block constructed ranch I wanna buy in Oklahoma City.

Are you getting that mortgage with First Premier? I hear they have really good rates.

Oh, awesome! I'm totally gunna check them out! Whoot! Who's a rock star? Me. That's who. I'm a rock star!

I'd totally do a dance of joy, but the rheumatoid...

If there's ever been a time where this thread has been more needed in the CB universe than now, I don't know of it. Perhaps some will read it, and some will even take its advice.

Good advice and responses. If I can add a few thoughts:

1.) When you post, avoid asking generic questions. It makes it easier to answer a question specific to a/your situation.

2.) Do create a progress thread. I have seen some CBers create a thread to track their repair and rebuild progress. This makes it easier for others to learn and remember where you are in your repair/rebuild and provide you relevant advice without going through your earlier posts.

Interesting, I just got this ad for a Kickstarter fund raiser while reading this thread:

What would you do if you weren’t afraid?

These ads are getting way too intelligent and offering a contrarian ADvice. :-)

I was reading my first thread on CB. Some humbling reading that.
