Bob... FYI, Sears now partners with Barclay for those who don't qualify for Citi. Not sure what is going on with the old Sears HSBC accounts.

My wife is management at Sears. She says the HSBC card has not been available for a couple of years.

No longer exists.

I was thinking a wee bit about DCU but the wifey's in my ear saying that because I've been with Chase banking for like 4 years that that's a good thing. I don't know. There checking looks really nice but I hate that stank inquiry and another if I choose to app for their cc. I wanted to 'save' myself for the Amex Blue cash/sky or everyday when all of my disputes are finished.

Tell her she's wrong and open up a DCU account.

Any connection to the Universities listed? My mom is not a PA resident, but is a graduate of one of the Universities where alumni are eligible. I'm waiting for her to join so I can join through her.

Not a FICO.

No, Experian doesn't play with FICO anymore. But this thread isn't the "do not pay for FICO scores" thread, it's the "do not pay for credit scores" thread, right? Is Experian not a credit score?

Experian worked out a deal with FICO a while back.

1) The first line of the first post dismissed FAKO scores outright;

2) mendelssohn is correct, FICO again sells its scores based on your Experian file (assuming that you have a file that isn't too thin to generate a score, of course);

3) To answer your last question, no, Experian is NOT a credit score. It is a CRA.
