Whychat Repo Letter Process - Next Steps?

I used the Whychat letter on my vol repo. I received a canned reply from the OC, which basically said, "If you have a dispute, contact the CRA's directly." So I sent the follow up letter to TU, almost a month ago, which was ignored. I never received a response from TU from the follow up letter.

 

Yesterday when pulling my reports I noticed my TU tanked 30 points. I knew immediately why, and of course, the OC has now updated my reports as current, with a few hundred dollars added to the outstanding balance (prior to the letters they hadn't updated the TL since 2010).

 

Basic info: repo 2009, sold in first month of 2010. No contract or TL updating by the OC until yesterday.

 

What should I do now?

The "Why Chat" program is not a simple letter to the OC. It requires some basic steps.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I did opt out, early on in repair. I deleted the addesses I could, also early on. At year 3 I pulled the carfax and used the letter as instructed. I'm wondering what my next step is now that the OC ignored letter #1, and TU did not comply with letter #2.

You opted out, you deleted old addresses, you sent each CRA the initial dispute letter??

It looks to me as if you skipped the initial dispute letter and went straight to the letter to be sent to the OC, the CA and the dealer.

I see. I received a copy of my updated TL today from TU. The OC is reporting as a delinquent installment account . Is there anyway to correct this given that I missed a step, or am I out of luck?

I need some type of follow up advice, as this is the only TL standing in between me and a mortgage approval. I have fulfilled all other LOX's, but the lender will not bend on this. Is a settlement my only option now?
