Hello you beautiful people,

I have a barclay appl card that has grown to one of my highest cl over the past 2 years. I am starting to use it more and more often. It has a very high interest rate. Has anyone had any success with getting barclay to lower the interest rate?

My effective APR on both of my Barclays card is 0%, since I PIF every time I use them. I strongly suggest you do the same with all of your cards, not just your Barclays Apple, unless you can get a 0% BT offer... and ONLY then if the transfer doesn't kill your utilization and you pay it off before interest starts accruing.

Please don't carry balances and pay interest on cheeseburgers and tanks of gas.

I actually lowered my intrest rates on BOA and Barclays even though I don't carry a balance. It just feels rewarding. Almost like a mini cli. Almost. :)

I just checked the rate on my Barclays Reward MC. It's 24.99%. 24.99% of 0 is 0, just like 12.9% on 0 is 0. :P

I get the idea, I just prefer to not even have to care (or even know) what the interest rate is, because it really doesn't matter when you PIF.

I have a 0% BT offer from them right now, but I don't have a balance to transfer. I prefer PIF as well. It keeps things real simple.
