Mortgage reporting 30 days late

Is it just me? I swear the more I look into my reports the more I find wrong! I just looked in to my TU file once again. My mortgage company reported me 30 days late for August on 8/12! How do you report something 30 days late on the 12th day? Not only was I NOT late, but we have a 15 day grace period to start with!

 

I called and got somebody in another country who obviously didn't understand why I was calling. He kept saying something along the lines that "they" meaning "him" could fix it right over the phone. uh...no.

 

I don't know where to even begin with this since every time I call, I get someone in another country. Send a letter to their address? Anyone have anything similar happen to them?

 

Thanks for listening CB. I needed to vent! No matter how hard you work to keep your side of the street clean, it's soooooo easy for someone to come along and simply crap all over it!

Who is your lender. Maybe we can find or already know a good contact number. Google is always another good tool when trying to find contacts.

It's C21 Mortgage AKA Phh Mortgage. I did a google search. I found a list of Exec names and positions. I am not sure if they are at the headquarter location in NJ though. If I send a letter, I guess someone will open it?

Call again and ask to be transferred to a supervisor in the US.

keep calling and dont give up until you get results - you will get the run around but keep it up

if you have proof you were never late you could challenge it through the bureaus

^ Careful with going through the bureaus on accounts you want to keep. They can end up being deleted and then you still have to deal with the OC to get it back and corrected. I would just ask for someone in the US. Most companies that use offshore resources have a policy to oblige this request or a way to get stateside support. Or send a certified letter to their HQ. Even if the exec isn't there, it will usually get re-routed to someone that will respond.

Disputed with TU this morning since this is the only one I saw it on. Preparing a letter to send certified. ALSO, received a letter today from Advocate medical stating they had a break in and 4 computers stolen that were NOT password protected. In the letter they gave us protectmyid free for a year through Experian. SO naturally I pulled an updated report, and there it was. 30 days just like TU. UGH! I guess I'll be drafting a few certified letters!
