My first prime card since I screwed it all up years ago after college !!!! I'm actually shocked I'm part of the Discover family I'm excited! I applied for Discover It got a $1,000 limit with an intro apr of 16.99%. Does anyone have a recon number where I can plead for a higher limit ? I'm at $1,500 with Cap1 (Thank you EO office) and Amazon GECRB just bumped me up to $1,400 up from $800. What do you guys think , should I even give it a shot ? or just be happy with what I got ?

So I tried 3 times, everytime I requested a CLI they said to wait 3 months and the account would be reviewed again. Oh Well I'm still happy to have this niffy looking Discover IT card.... Now its time for a new wallet.

I just got one of these and I love, love, love it! It's so liberating not carrying around all of those useless B-list cards (whatever your personal B-list may be)!!

Did I mention that I love it? :P

Can I ask what your utilization was on your amazon card? Im wanting to ask for a cli but mine is at 50%....

I was at about 35 - 40 % on Amazon but I try and keep it at 30%. August is my year anniversary with them so I'm guessing that had something to do with it.

Discover is known for flat out denying limit increase requests with a new card. I've read that some get the 3 month answer, some get the 6. Congrats on the approval, though!

Yea, I saw that too. I'll give it another shot in 3 month as stated by the rep who helped me. Thanks!

I'm so with you! I was getting tired of walking around with a Crap1secured and HSBC grrrr absolutely hate those two cards. I would cancel but I've had them for over two years now and figure it looks good , except for the crappy limits.

I was speaking of the wallet that I linked. I think you were still referring to your It card. :P

I just got the Disco IT card. I applied for it about a year ago and was denied, called to recon and the rep said to reapply in 6 months. Waited a little longer and pulled the trigger. The disappointing part is my limit...$800 lol.

So I called to recon the limit and was very politely told to try in 3 months after they see a little bit of usage/payment history.

I'll check back in 3 months and let you all know how it goes!
