I just ordered my husband's credit report and CHASE Bank has an account as Closed and Transferred to another lender, but no CRA agency is reporting on the account. I have a few tradelines like this on my own reports and I'm not sure how to handle these.

We're not disputing that the actual accounts are ours, but we want to be sure all of the fees associated with the accounts are accurate.

I was looking through PsychDoc's Transcripts and while Triaging my Report, I wasn't sure how to label these types of tradelines.

it's been sold to a JDB. they just haven't reported it yet.

Odds are they are sending collection letter to the address the original lender provided;

if you moved and don't have forwarding in place, someone else is tossing your letters.

Mine, a Wells Fargo CC acct, says "purchased by another lender". Is that the same as sold to a JDB?

I've moved two times since my last address on this account, but left a forwarding address with USPS for each move.

Right now I'm just leaving it alone because it's still within SOL for another 1.5 years.

yes, it's the same as sold to a JDB - this is actually inaccurate reporting, but it happens all the time.

if your account is actually sold to another bank while it's open and current, the bank send you notices.

Hmm. I looked a little closer and the history shows "CLS" on Jun 2011, which is also the last reported date. Yet while I was living at that old address I rec'd 3 dunning letters after that date (between Jul 2011 -Oct 2011) from a law group stating Wells Fargo was their client. Haven't heard anything since then.

Sorry OP, didn't mean to highjack your thread.

No you're fine :-)

I'm just trying to figure out how to handle all of these sold TL's on my credit report :( If you haven't checked out PsychDoc's transcripts yet, you should!

also check out " your collection score"

you may want to lay low until the SOL has passed.
