Well i dont actually need a breakdown of the entire process as that is pretty clear however.. the MIB Report in the preliminary steps is what is confusing me.

I am trying to see the significance of this step in the program because as I am going through the HIPPA process, i dont see the MIB report mentioned again as anything that we bring back into play in the process.

Did i simply miss something and if this is a nuisance question, I apologize as I tried my best to search this before starting a thread.. any useful information is welcomed.

The MIB report is useful for those who have had a LOT of medical services, OR for those who have a common name or believe that their ID has been used fraudulently to obtain medical services. Unless you have had some kind of insurance application, you may not even have an MIB report in your name.

Ok. So in other words, the MIB report would aid in seperate disputes of some nature in reference to the contents of that report.. Not DIRECTLY related with the steps of the HIPPA letter program?

Not exactly. I always suggest people get their MIB reports IF AVAILABLE, it is a way of double checking to see what is actually in your medical records and can turn up fraudulent accounts BEFORE they default and wind up on your reports.

Sweet. Ok so i just finished the Pre-hippa letter and noticed in all your examples and such the letter is blue background. Is this just supposed to be the template because mines prints the color of the font (blue), however, does not print the color of the background. The word confidential is printed in the back of course but the background color is white. Please advise.

The preferred method is to print out the FORM in adobe or word which should print the blue background and HAND WRITE the data and the suggested dispute text on the form. You can then scan and copy it for your records.

Only if you can NOT write in cursive, or your handwriting is SO bad that no one could read it do I suggest writing it in word script.

If you can fix it so that the blue background is printed when you write it in word, that is OK too. The automated scanning programs have a problem when the font is blue on blue especially if there is a "watermark" pattern behind it.

Make sure your printer setting is for printing the background color.

found the printer setting and printed it over again. I stuck to the Lucia font due to the fact that my handwriting is VERY questionable. LOL. Thanks WhyChat and i will be sending off Experian today and EQ and Trans tomorrow due to time contraints. Ex always takes longer to reach from here in Georgia so they should all still eventually be in sync. Handwritten envelope and CM with no Green card. Only one collection medical listed on Ex whereas EQ has about 5
