Anticipating An App Spree Score Decline?

From anyone out there who has completed a successful app spree lately - how substantial was the negative effect (if any) on your score? I'm waiting on zero balances to report to app for a few select cards to thicken my file.

Between March and the end of June i opened 5 new accounts, and my EQ FICO from DCU went from 740 in March to 717 in July. The new accounts were the only events of any significance, as my utilization is always quite low and I have nothing negative on my reports. My AAOA is also pretty low, and getting lower.

I've seen my score drop by 30 points, but up again after about 4 months. It is disheartening but I've done it a few times and know that it does rebound.

In my experience it also rebounds higher in 4-6 months because of usually 1) increased available credit and 2) longer time of positive accounts as things age. How much depends on really what you add and where your file was before.
