Debts Falling Off earlier?

Has anyone experienced OC debts falling off earlier than what their CR states? I'm going to be paying off some debts but some are due to fall in 2014 and 2015. So I'm just wondering if I should attempt to say these debts are pass 7 years even though I might be 6 months or so ahead of what the CR states. Just wondering....

Yes, read more on obsolete disputes. This often works 3-6 months (or more) early.

 

Also, the consensus generally is that paying off these old debts creates more problems than it solves. Welcome, and please read more (and ask questions if anything you read is unclear or may not apply directly to your situation) before you pay those.

Paying a old debt will update the tradeline thus lowering your Rico score

PFD if you are wanting to pay would definitely be a viable option if the furnisher bites the offer. I would explore that if the obsolete dispute doesnt work and you simply do not want to wait for it to fall off.

This is also true if this is not done in the form of a legitimate and accepted PFD offer.
