I went to backdoor Equifax this morning and when it came to the questions all of the answers were none of the above, (as none pertained to me) so I kept getting a message that I have to fax my driver's license for my dispute.

Does this mean I'm locked out? How long does that last?

It has been almost 5 years for me.

Its funny it hasn't let me in in 3 years since my biz went belly up in the midst of the recession, but when I get my TU report it says somebody is checking my Equifax every week (soft pulls). It aint me! :swoon:

I had the same experience that you had. The majority of their questions never apply to me and so I fail verification. I have no problem with TU and EX.

I had the EQ Complete product at the time and it stopped letting me pull my report because of too many soft inquiries. I spoke to the evening overseas reps who were all useless in the end and never followed through with incident tickets. Some told me to call EQ during the day and have them delete my soft inquiries. I had read that pulling it daily even though it failed giving a report would still act as a soft hit. What they did not post was that it sometimes gives a fail code that you are now locked out.

I finally called the U.S. number during the day and spent over 30 minutes while a rep deleted every time my report request failed over the last couple of years. In the end it still did not let her pull a new report for me and I was transferred to the EQ Solutions department. All the questions of why do you pull your credit so often came up again and I gave the same excuse of prior identity theft and that I have new accounts. She tried to up-sell me to their most expensive product which set me off. I basically said why would I pay more money when the product I have now does not even work. Finally she put me on hold multiple times and I just hung up.

Magically, I could get back into my report via EQ Complete within a week. I never sent any proof of identity etc. I had answered all of their typical questions up-front. I also tried pulling my report through the dispute process within a month and was successful the next time. I would have tried sooner but I was afraid I would fail their verification again and be locked out.

So you can try calling the main number for Equifax during the day, and hopefully by answering identity questions they have on file "may" let you circumvent having to send in documents. Good luck in dealing with them!
