Took a shot 2 weeks ago for the Delta Gold Card and was approved for 10k, then 5 days later approved for the BlueSky 10k. Both backdated to 1983 after a phone call, which will triple my 2.5yr AAOA.

Stopped paying my Amex 10 years ago but they never took me to court. I unfroze EX for the app; EX shows 1 50k judgment from 6 years ago, 12 cards with 4 @20k and rest 5-18k, no other bads. Amex score with the card paperwork, I think said FICO, was 704.

My head is still spinning from this!

Amex does not fool around, I owed them 8,000, could not pay because of job loss, but now back to work. Long story short they sued me and were going to take me to court, 2 days before, my attorney made settlement with them for 70% over 6 months, which I had to borrow from family. Out of the 24 accounts I have settled so far, they have been the worst to deal with. I have 7 more to go, and my life will be so much better.

Slightly different scenario for me with Amex, but perhaps this thread can help me out (or I can help it out) :

I was F/R'd by Amex around March 2010. I never supplied the tax form required and they closed my lines. I tried to apply again sometime in 2012 but got a 10-day notice online followed by a letter in the mail that contained a conditional denial along with another tax form for me to fill out that might change their mind (which is why I said "conditional"). I did not return that one either. Now I would like, once again, to try for an Amex but am hesitant to try. How long will they keep up this tax form thing, indefinitely until I supply or or stop applying? (BTW, current EX Fico from MyFico.com is 736, TU is 724, and EQ is 714 :D)

My little girl was also F/R'd.

I told her not to comply because at that time she was in grad school,

and her income had dropped substantially from her previous AmEx apps.

Last year, I had her re-apply for the Gold Delta AmEx,

she was working full-time again,

and AmEx didn't request another 4506-T.

However, just like me, her Gold Delta AmEx was locked right after she got it.

We both had a BUNCH of old, closed AmExes.

Apparentally, because those were closed by AmEx,

with negative notations,

somebody had to go to all those accounts,

and manually remove the negative notations before a new card would be un-locked.

A refersher for newcomers,

AmEx closed ALL my AmEx accounts,

because I couldn't produce physical SSN cards for every single one of my dozen CB AUs.

Thanks BW! Funny thing is, you HAD a copy of MY soc. sec card. oh well. Perhaps I will apply yet again now that they're sending me better offers in the mail. The only cards I want for a good long while now are going to be ones that don't hurt my AAOA, but that is a toss-up in this situation for me, unlike most with Amexes, due to them not backdating mine.

Whoa, memories! You know i still remember being all excited about my first approval (BBRZ MC, $300 limit) and not too long ago my local bank matched my highest current CLI at $6800. My total limits are over $60K now.... that's a little bit of an improvement over January, 2010 when I first arrived at CB without any cards at all!

AmEx has a notation on your profile:

"Don't give her D*,

she already has 'em" :P

WentAndGotEm, yup yup. Inability to afford a boob job prompted me to check on my credit situation back in Jan, 2010 and I found all too quickly that I was in terrible shape. My shape has muchly improved since then. :P

Hello,

1. Citi Bank - Since 2001 BK7 IIB - Last tried 6mo ago. no go.

2. Transunion (TruCredit) Blacklist since 2006 - Spoke to a manager yesterday about this. Asked when I will be elligible to use their service again. Response: Never.

- was told, once you are on Transunion Blacklist for "suspicious" activity (too many daily pulls) you are never removed from the list. hahaha! Screw you TU!

3. AMEX - Since 2012 - was not IIB in BK. Told I am blacklisted due to "Too many applications within a 12 month period" Very odd. Will not allow me to apply for any of their products. Was told to wait 2 years.
