Does PSECU blacklist?

I would operate on the assumption that everybody blacklists.

Some issuers, like Cap One, can be especially lenient in the duration of being on the list.

With Amex you are on the blacklist until you pay the outstanding balance in full.

My question is if you are willing to pay the balance on co accounts from Chase or Citibank will they remove you from the blacklist even if they sold the account to a JDB

NOT true. A friend burned them on 7 accounts in the 90's and now has 3 accounts with them and didn't pay a penny. YMMV

Oddly, I wasn't blacklisted by Cap One. I not only have the Cap One but Best Buy which they now own as well.

They own Best Buy for just a little while longer. Citibank is taking over Best Buy credit cards. For anyone who doesn't know that yet. Very anxious to see what Citibank will do to all the people who BURNED Citibank. Will they

1) let them keep their BBRZ cards and NEVER CLI them OR

2) Cancel the cards completely OR

3) just be Business as Usual (Which i'm very much Hoping)

Not TRUE at all. I know lots of people who had CO and IIB that got AMEX again. Including myself. I have 4 accounts now all backdated to 1987 :) so I can attest that you don't "Have" to pay them back in order to get another card with them.

Still on BofA after 10 years Cost me a HP the other day to find this out.

Did you try calling and asking for recon?

That's how I found out they were holding a 2003 debt/CO against me.

HI,

I have heard as well that people get Amex after they CO or BK them, but I still think that its more of an exception then the rule. Also, Im thinking there might be some sort of threashold (say more then a $1000) where they place you on a indefinate blacklist.

It seems like Chase and Citi are very inconsistent with their blacklisting.

Are the number of years that folks posted based on unpaid balances, paid accounts, or both?

My Best Buy cards went from HSBC to Cap One to Citi, as Art mentioned above. Somehow I missed that memo and closed them when they were still with HSBC. I wonder now that they are with Citi, if I have any sort of chance??? I BK them in 2009 :(

Well that "Threshold MUST be over $75 Thousand dollars which is the figure I left them holding in the 90's and they've been VERY good to me the past 3 years . Jut ended up getting my 4th card from them a BCE with a nice CL.

So I can attest that you don't stay on the BL forever. But not just based on me but several friends of mine. It just take time if you BK or CO them. that's all.

There's hope for me yet =D

Thank you for the contributions to this thread! I have finally received an approval again from AMEX after about 10 years of waiting and rebuilding.
