All of my comenity cards reported within 2 weeks, some before I even received the cards in the mail. I have had my cards for 7 months now with no increase. All but 1 have 0 balances. I use VS often and PIF more than once a month...still no increase :(

Some cards report for the first 2 months. Then after they dont report at all if they are not used.

I've read that you can ask for a CLI after 9 months ;)

You can *ask* anytime...but they keep saying no lol. But, yeah I've heard they like to wait til 9th month to grant the cli.

Or better yet how long does it usually take them to start reporting? And, what's their time frame for auto cli, if at all? Thanks.

They generally start reporting within 2 or 3 weeks after they have opened the accounts.

However, for the CLI's, it seems, as far as my personal experience goes, that it depends on the merchant, e.g., my JCrew was opened on Sept 11, 2012 and initially approved for $450.00, then I requested an increase on Dec 18 resulting in an increase of $200.00 through their internal system, and I just requested another increase on April 22, '13 and they raised it by another $200.00 with no pulls. Mind you that I have used this card only once since opening it. My Redcats cards (Roamans, One Stop Plus, Jessica London, etc., I have them all because my wife is a shopaholic, have generally been increased by $200.00 every 4 months at my request with either a soft on Equifax or no credit pull at all) VS has also been generous with their CLI's, e.g. opened it on Aug 9th with a $500.00 CL, raised it to $700.00 on Dec 18, and now to $900.00 on April 20th., in every instance doing a CLI request on their website. Once again, I only used this card once to buy my wife some gifts for Valentine's Day. The Orchard Brands cards (Bedford Fair, OTP, Appleseeds, etc., follow the same pattern, CLI's after 4 months but they like to see usage) On the other hand, Buckle has not shown me any love after their first CLI even though I have followed the same pattern of requesting CLIs every 4 months or so and using the card once.

I think you've just got to try asking for the CLI's and using the cards at least once so that the credit limits are reflected on your credit reports.

Thanks for the replies. I'll wait on requesting the cli's, I just need them to report now. It's been a couple of weeks. I guess I just need to be more patient. I got a CapOne that hasn't reported after three months. :sorry:
