We've already been denied all the big secured cards (US Bank, Bank of America, DCU, NFCU, local CUs, and local banks). USAA is a bust (that's who our repo is with) and we just got the Cap1 card. IF I app anywhere, or finance the table at all, it will be the last app for a year. We hope to get a mortgage next year, so I don't want any more apps until then. I've tried most of the WFNNB cards, but can't get an offer, which is fine because we'd likely never use any of them. Really, 90% of our spending outside of regular bills is either Target or the grocery store. So we wouldn't get much use out of a store card, unless it was Target. But I don't want to get one if it's going to hinder us down the road.

If I don't finance it, that's fine. I'll just pay cash and be done with it. But if I'm going to add anything else, it's going to be in the next month or so. Otherwise, it will have to wait until next year.

Omg.. OP, did you apply for a REDcard?? I even got approved for one of those!!!

Well if you want to know what letter to send the OC it's easy!

First you buy a car in Jersy then fix a few things and sell it in Boston. Then you take the few hundred that you made and you buy another car and hope you can flip it again in Boston. Once you have done this 4 or 5 times, you PIF your FPB card with the profits you make from all of your hard work. You should be able to break even after the finance charges kick in.

Then you ask people on the boards what you should do. After they tell you exactly what to do, you do the opposite and you become an ASK HOLE. An ASK HOLE is someone that's asks your advice and does exactly the opposite.

Now that your FPB card is at a zero balance you write the CEO office and ask them not to balance chase you on an 800 limit. Tell them you are a good customer and after you flip 4 more cars you will charge 800 and PIF again.

That is how you find out which letter to write the OC.

but what if I find a good car already in Boston? DO I still have to buy one from Jersey?

LOL

for anyone else that may need 623 info here is a master 623 thread. The master master list is not complete

http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=381177

also, I found the above by googleing. creditboards.com 623 letter and there were plenty of found links, however when I use the search button on this forum I can't find anything. Maybe I am doing it wrong. For those of you in the know is there a better way to search.

I see all the time that people are told to use the search feature but it doesn't always work. The link above is from 2009 ish, so maybe the search feature only goes back a certain time frame?

IMHO, Google search (used from Google.com to search creditboards) works better than Creditboards search!

And I *KNOW* there is a "Master Master" thread somewheres.

+1 I always use Googe

There ARE good cars in Boston; my contention is that they will cost more, in their native market.

I aim to come to you with a quality product, at a lower price.

I have seen rust-bucket POS Jeeps sell for more in Boston, Braintree, etc than what a rust-free clean one would sell for in Central NJ/PA.

I find it totally despicable that anyone would go so far as to deliberately pick on Joe. Any of you that continue to promote any antagonism or "poking fun" at him is going to have a lil problem.

It's not kind, it's not wise, and it's certainly not the way yourselves would want to be treated.

There is a long history here with Joe. And if you don't care to search the archives for it, then butt out of this type of thread, or deal with the consequences.

And if I may, remind Joe, AGAIN, this is not the General Discussion Forum. So don't start that in this forum.

I trust all is well otherwise, carry on.

Some of us didn't know about his condition, once it was brought to our attention, all communication was quickly halted. So yes, it's all been resolved. I'm sure you guys will deal with the comments he makes like he did on my ignore button thread in the feedback section at your discretion. I would hate to think that that behavior is acceptable from anyone of us.

I have forgotten about so many things. I feel this is a good sign.

Im here at home, with my cat Snowflake sitting on the blankets on the bed beside me, getting ready for a relaxing night and reading some CB.. A special thanks to all.

I would post more, but.. This is not GDF, as pointed out by Marv.
