Quite often there are questions that are asked that have been asked a million times. I figured I would start a low content thread where you can ask a dumb question instead of cluttering up the main list with all the same questions. Or if rslifkin would like to talk about cars this is the perfect place to do it.

I guess I will ask the first question as well.

I need to send a letter to an OC. It has been on my credit since 2008 but the address they have linked to it is an old mail boxes etc box so I have never received anything from them. I want to send a DV but I can't figure out which letter you send to an OC.

helpp!!!

Well if you want to know what letter to send the OC it's easy!

First you buy a car in Jersy then fix a few things and sell it in Boston. Then you take the few hundred that you made and you buy another car and hope you can flip it again in Boston. Once you have done this 4 or 5 times, you PIF your FPB card with the profits you make from all of your hard work. You should be able to break even after the finance charges kick in.

Then you ask people on the boards what you should do. After they tell you exactly what to do, you do the opposite and you become an ASK HOLE. An ASK HOLE is someone that's asks your advice and does exactly the opposite.

Now that your FPB card is at a zero balance you write the CEO office and ask them not to balance chase you on an 800 limit. Tell them you are a good customer and after you flip 4 more cars you will charge 800 and PIF again.

That is how you find out which letter to write the OC.

I thought only BW was allowed to do 'Master' threads. Is there a Master thread of all the master threads? Someone should get on that.

barbiux/futurehomeowner? it's the 623 letter that you're looking for, it's in the sample letters

Oh and I don't think the title is sufficiently self-explanatory. I would call it the 'I don't want to do hundreds of hours of research for a really simple question' or 'Quick answers for simple questions' or 'There's no such thing as a dumb question' or 'The Search button is broken' thread. Something to catch the newbies attention (although I don't encourage this behavior, newbie section is pretty mandatory reading just to understand the basics, but I understand that we all gotta start somewhere. Maybe that's another name suggestion. The : 'Find Guidance here' or something. Ideally it would be newbies asking questions and old geezers posting links that will answer the question but will let them get it on their own, so they gather the knowledge on the way. Unless it's a simple question, like the 623, then they can get simple answers).

I thoughf that is what it was but I can bot find that anywhere in the samplw letters. I asked in three different threads and keep getting ignored. I am on my phone and when I do a searcb for 623 it says nothing found so I thought maybe I had the wrong number. I guess I can try googleing it now that I have confirmation of its name.

OK, let's ask another dumb question (I have "dumb questions" threads on car forums:) Where can I find the tab to pay my balance on Amazon.com? Thanks!

Oh and RBinAK, please don't make threads like that about me in GDF. I just saw it in a search for the "master master" thread. Thanks.

I am almost tempted to read it, to see what people had to say. And that creates problems for me. So please, don't make threads like that about me. And they never seem to venture out of GDF.. Thanks. <_<

Didn't read it yet, but the temptation is there.

Back OT: Yeah, I feel this may be a "dumb question," but I cannot see in the "My Accounts" tab of Amazon.com where to pay my bill.

Will they mail me a statement?

for anyone else that may need 623 info here is a master 623 thread. The master master list is not complete

http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=381177

also, I found the above by googleing. creditboards.com 623 letter and there were plenty of found links, however when I use the search button on this forum I can't find anything. Maybe I am doing it wrong. For those of you in the know is there a better way to search.

I see all the time that people are told to use the search feature but it doesn't always work. The link above is from 2009 ish, so maybe the search feature only goes back a certain time frame?

IMHO, Google search (used from Google.com to search creditboards) works better than Creditboards search!

And I *KNOW* there is a "Master Master" thread somewheres.

Sense the sarcasm BDK!

Bob IS the Master of Master Threads. But anyone can start one.

I think its just a glitch with 623, I used to have the same problem. Maybe because its numbers only? Idk but I know that's the only thing I've had problems searching for. Pretty easy to find with google search, like u did, thankfully

It must have never took off, but there IS a "Master Master" thread. I checked MOST of the Master threads for it. Someone made a comment: "There should be a 'Master Master' thread." Someone then replied: "There is one." I had seen it recently, and provided the link.

However, FWIW, the "Master List" is almost the same. The "Master Master" thread did not get much traction.

Maybe, if I have time, I will track it down.

And I really hope GECRB mails me an Amazon.com statement because, darnedit, even though I am writing out the checks to PIF stuff and not buying Olds 88s or Sebrings :good: I still can't figure out how to PAY my Amazon.com card.....

Should I call up Customer Service to pay it? And since it is a card, I need to use my checking account to pay, yes?

You had to mention cars. Sigh. This forum should have an ignore option.

Since no one is answering your question, I would suggest you google it. If you can't find it you should call customer service. They can help you, cuz the last thing u wanna do is be late with your payment cuz u can't find where to pay it.

I found out that Amazon.com has mid-cycle reporting! :( But yes, I may end up calling Customer Service.
