I got a 7-10 day notice from the online application. I called the 855-381-5712 number after applying and receiving an e-mail confirmation. The lady on the phone was really nice and said it was so new that her access didn't reflect an application that soon. She said their records ought to be updated tomorrow, so being a dedicate CB maniac, I will call back this afternoon. There shouldn't be any reason I don't get either the Signature card or the standard card. That's assuming they pull Equifax per the Credit Pulls Database. Experian is blocked and they cannot have it! I'm trying to push this process along as much as possible.

I applied about a week ago and got the same message. I called yesterday to get a status on the application and I was told there was no status yet. The rep said that they might still be processing the application and advised I check back at the end of the week.

I got a 7-10 day message when applying for their Express card. They never had any record of my application and I never received anything in the mail. I was transferred from department to department. I applied about 5 times and gave up. I think they have some computer issues.

I called the 800 # again. Still no record of my application. I asked if I could speak to someone in underwriting. The agent said they don't have a phone number and he has no way to transfer me. He said they have to do everything by mail, Anyone have a mailing address?

I believe they have a problem with their Express card website. Every time the preapproval pops up and I submit my info. it freezes and disappears.

aww as expected I received my wife and I's denials.

I knew I would be denied but I really thought my wife would get approved since she has other comenity cards.

The reasons given were

Unable to verify credit history (not sure what this means)

limited credit experience (her AAOA right now is 7.9 years)

high outstanding balances to credit limit (util right now is 41%)

delinquent past credit obligations (2 old CO's)

There is no recon number on the letter.

Received my card today (applied Apr 3, with immediate approval of $8500).

Called to activate and asked CSR if they could reconsider initial assigned CL. She said she could help me. I confirmed with her that there wouldn't be another credit pull.

She asked for annual income and desired CL. I asked for $12K. Approved in about 5 seconds. (no indication of a new pull in checking CRA's shortly after)

They ran EQ on April 9 and when I called this afternoon, they still had no status either way. The person I spoke with said it was "processing". I've received physical cards quicker than this.

Also, I did post on Total Rewards' Facebook page. I referenced how much Caesars has put into promotion and that the vendor is clearly not up to the task. This is the end of the second week, so there's no excuse about things now.

Guinea Pig Report

Got denial letter today after initial app on 4/1. They pulled EQ on 4/1. The score provided in the denial letter was not an EQ FICO. It was a score based on a scale of 479-898. (drats, I was at least hoping to get a FICO score out of this).

Reasons for denial:

  • presence of bankruptcy (2yrs ago)
  • no real estate accounts with valid credit amount (home is owned free & clear)
  • no installment accounts with valid credit amount (car loan & student loans all show as paid)
  • too many bankcard accounts (5 bank, 4 store, 2 of the store cards are thru Comenity)
  • "Number of inquiries was also a factor but effect was not significant." I had 2 inqs that are over a year old and 2 inqs from NFCU that were three months old on my EQ report.

Hope the info can help anyone who hopes to app for the card in the future.
