So I sent letters a week or so ago to all three CRAs to have old addies removed and then today I received an email alert from creditkarma saying there is a Fraud Alert placed on my Transunion report.

I think all 3 will have the alert since they send the alerts to each other.

Is this a regular accurance?

I used Whychat's advice and said in the letter that I'm concerned about identity theft and that's why I wanted the old addies removed.

Is this a problem or is it no biggie?

The fact that you stated you were concerned about ID theft is what prompted the fraud alert trigger. If you apply for credit with the fraud alert active, more than likely your application should not be processed until your ID is verified by the creditor with whom you applied.

I would wait a period of time before asking the CRA's to remove the FA so they do not add old addresses back on or think you are trying to game them.
