Original creditor calling work?

Ok, it's been awhile and I forget... If you request that a current/original creditor not call you at work, are they obligated to not call?

 

I know 3rd party collectors cannot, if you tell them not to, but I forget the legal obligations for original creditors.

Although credit grantors are excluded from the provisions of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the District of Columbia and the following states include creditors in their debt collection laws:

 

Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
