Hello guys,

I am a new guy on this CB and I have a very serious issue.

I visited a family overseas and I thought I was going to spend 2 weeks but when I got there, more issues popped up and kept me there for 4 months. I missed all credit, student loans, medical bill payments for up to 4 months. Now I am in hot water, I need your advice. I just came and I haven't talked to any of my creditors. some have sent my accounts to collection agencies, others charged-off(whatever it means)... other accounts are on their way to collections... I am just pissed off and I need a clean Credit, sorry it sounds like I am not going to have this credit any more but hey, please send your advices and I appreciate your contributions towards better credit.

Hi :) You need to start your own thread in the main forum. I know this is confusing when you're new. Go here http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showforum=2 and look on the far right hand side, you'll see a button that says "start new topic" - click that button and type your story into the box just like you did here.

Then while you wait for people to answer, go read Psychdoc's credit seminar here http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=425496 it will give you an overview of what's really going on and how to think about credit repair.

This is really good. i need help. I have an open collection on TRANS which in not correct. I can not get it off. It is killing my score.

It shows bankruptcy which has been removed from every report expect TRANS on this one collection account. It is not showing in public record what do you suggest. 2. IS the credit check total score report higher than than other reports. I have found it to be a big difference my equfirst shows 708 but navy federal pulled it and it show 649.., What is the real score.

GeorgeB I am in your same exact position. Can you tell me how old was your wife's collections? Now that I have had some success in score improvement, old collections are now coming out the woodworks showing as new collections or current delinquent account.

Congratulations on your success! I'm in almost the exact same boat that you were many years ago. My wife and I tried to get a USDA loan and were denied twice due to her credit history (almost the exact same scores as yours were actually). Since then I've been reading these boards like a madman! PsychDoc's transcripts, DV letters, GW letters, the laws pertaining to credit reporting and consumer rights (still working on this one..lol) and my biggest gem yet is learning the Texas Laws!

Long story short, thank you for the encouragement!

First off I want to Thank God for leading me to this board. Over the past 2 months that I have been on this board I have really learned alot. To give you all some background when my wife and I initially applied for a mortgage back in February we were told by that mortgage broker then that my wifes credit was shot and we may consider chapter 7 for her and take a home buyers course. He said trying to fix her credit would be like beating a dead horse. Well I took offense to that and took it to heart. When we tried another lender they said that she needed major work and that would could take a year or so before she would be ready to qualify for a mortgage. Everyone I talked to kept referring us to a credit repair company that we had used in the past on multiple occasions with no success. Finally I decided it was time for me to take action. So I found this board in March and got right to work. Below is what I started off with....

Transunion: 536 credit score 9 bad accounts

Equifax: 546 Credit Score 13 bad accounts

Experian: 491 credit score 16 bad accounts

Well after multiple lenders said that my wife would take at least 8 - 12 months to fix to even qualify after just 2 months on this board she has the following....

Transunion: 615 Credit Score 1 bad account

Equifax: 626 credit score 1 bad account

Experian: 620 credit score 4 bad accounts (2 are pending removal just waiting on experian to make the move)

Plus a pre qualification letter for our first home to be built. This is after 2 months everyone. This is just to encourage everyone to keep trying. I would stay up to all hours of the night researching this site asking questions searching for answers in older threads. I am still not gonna let up. I have just a few accounts left to get removed which im confident will be finished in the next 30 - 60 days. Thanks everyone!!!!

That's awesome! I am thrilled for you and know that more good things will happen for you.
