Too rich for my blood, but if you can make it work, more power to ya.

Good luck. Hope you get approved. Maui would nice about right now.

thanks :)

we usually stay at Fairmont and its relative properties several times a year so this card will come in handy. I am a little surprised the AF is so low.

received a call today and asked income and ID questions. I was expecting a different call from 480-902-6000.

was not asked about other limits on chase products.

turns out this was not a credit analyst but rather a security specialist making sure it was me who applied. I said, "of course it is me, I just looked in the mirror to confirm it!"

The Fairmont card seems like a very sweet card to have! I would love to get that card and be charter member! Good luck!! :)

Have you tried the application status number recently? You might already be approved.

I'll deal with it in the morning. Perhaps when I log on Chase.com tomorrow my Pd or CSP limits will be THEFTED.

Congrats. I am wondering whether to go for this or the Marriott card...the Fairmont properties are better, but there are a lot more Marriott properties worldwide...

a lot depends on what you're looking for: upgrades and perks or points. Of course these are not mutually exclusive, but even with status at Hilton and Marriot I've rarely gotten upgrades. I have been sitting on about 70K Marriott points for over a year and have >150K Hhonors points. I am not looking for free room nights as much as upgrade, status, and perks. We stay at Fairmont properties several times a year and from the looks of it, this card will serve us well. I guess I see the Ritz or Fairmont cards as cards for destination trips while Hilton, Marriott, ICG, etc. are more for free nights when visiting aunt Sally in Kansas City.

The number of properties worldwide is not as much of a concern IMHO as the quality and the ability to get benefits from the co-branded card.

I am so tempted! I would love to have this card! :D

I think I might go for it next week. Chase has been so good to me with the non-requested, automatic CLIs that I think they might let me in on this one.

Did you get to be a Charter Member?

Again, congrats!

we're about to book a couple vacations, both at FM properties so that also factored into the decision, but yes the charter membership distinction is a plus.
