What on earth inspired this? :P

Wouldn't it be nice to have plain old Forward bring in the TYP's via it's awesome categories and then redeem them using ThankYou PPP?

All my Citi cards dump into the same ThankYou account, so my Forward earns points that I can redeem at the Premier level. :D

BTW, thanks, Hitman.

I never redeem my own points, I just transfer them to friends & family, or give them my password.

I was wondering why my ES's redemption options for the 10,000 bonus TY points for opening a Citi Forward were so pukey.

I guess I'll just have her transfer her points to me if she wants to redeem them.

That's a great strategy. I'm in the process of getting a lowly Dividends card PC'd to the no AF Preferred, just to funnel Forward points through it.

Shop knowing you're protected in 4 ways

Dear Bob,

When you use your Citi ThankYou® Premier Card to shop, you're getting more than ThankYou® Points in return. We've also got your back in these 4 important ways:*

1. Extended Warranty extends the manufacturer's original U.S. warranty (of one year or less) up to one additional year on most items purchased.

2. Retail Purchase Protection protects most purchases against theft, fire or accidental breakage, up to $1,000, for 90 days from the date of purchase.

3. Price Protection means if you buy something with your card and then see it advertised in print for less within 60 days, you may be eligible for a refund for the difference — up to $250. (Excludes internet purchases and advertisements and certain items.)

4. Billing Dispute Resolution can assist you if you are unhappy with a purchase and the merchant isn't making it right.

These benefits are included with your card so you can use it with more confidence.

Then the data are written so that Citi knows you want to redeem 1,000 of the rewards points you've already earned (if you're a Citi ThankYou Preferred or Premier cardmember; 1,200 if you have a Citi ThankYou card) to pay or part-pay for the purchase. A billing cycle or two later, you should receive a statement credit for $10.

I'm waiting for the rumored British Airways/Singapore Airlines partner points transfer program to be implemented.

Many bloggers have confirmed with Citi reps that this will go into affect sometime in April, then all of a sudden Citi had a spaz attack and told all of them to take the information down. :dntknw:

Odd quirk for Citi Forward.

My statement closed with a Foreign Transaction Fee of $1.72 on 4/18, the closing date.

I don't use this card overseas, and I didn't think I'd made any foreign online purchases.

Looking through the statement, found the culprit:

When the Harry Potter Kindle books were released on 3/27, Amazon did not list them.

So I bought the set for US$ 57.54 at POTTERMORE LONDON GB

Looks like Citi Forward only lists the FETF when statements close, FYI.

Premier: LAX-JFK-LAX 1st 135k TYP

Preferred: LAX-JFK-LAX 1st 180k TYP

If and when the supposed "confirmed rumors" of British Airways becoming a transfer partner goes through (there is currently an extensive discussion going on over at Flyertalk) then:

25k TYP > 25k BA > 25 AA = LAX-LIH-LAX

That would be nice, currently

Premier: LAX-LIH-LAX AA 56k TYP

Preferred: LAX-LIH-LAX AA 74k TYP
