My BFF added me to her Chase card 20k limit with a 2k balance. They will only ask for a name. Absolutely nothing else can be given! So she said I lived with her. Im wondering if I change my address ASAP on a card of mine like Sears to her add. if that would help the Chase appear on my reports? Walmart FICO 679 Thanks for any feedback

I'd be careful about changing your addresses around to try to get an AU account to report.

I'm on a card as an AU. After I piggy backed on the card, the Primary card holders credit has kinda hit the skids (questionable foreclosure, CLD, etc). Does that negatively impact me or does it only pertain to racking up lates and so on?

If the AU card is showing up on a credit report,

all the negative information will drive a score down.

This question actually brings up an interesting point,

which is that positive AU accounts often are NOT reported,

however, it COULD be the case that NEGATIVE AU accounts

might be reported when the account goes bad.

Kind of like PG business cards that don't make it to personal reports,

unless problems arise.

As far as the card goes, there are 0 lates or anything negative on that specific TL at all. I've kept on top of that like a pitbull. The CLD happened before after I jumped on, but my credit wasn't that stellar at the time. Does that matter?

Edited to correct.

If the CLD resulted in high utilization on that one card,

your score will be negatively affected.

I would not run the risk of that AU card being late.

One late will absolutely kill your score.

Got it. I'm waiting for a couple of things to happen and then I'm going to pull myself from that card and grab one of my own. Thanks Bob

Your credit is not linked.

+1 however you could be affected by CLD it would leave you with less avail credit and therefore a different utilization picture. It also could affect you at a later time if the card goes to delinquent and/or CO. If you are worried about this I would just terminate the relationship ASAP.

It's the DW card so I'm on top of the payments. Thankfully it's something I don't have to worry about.

Talk about burying the lede. :P

I have a 30 day late from 6.5 years ago on B of A that is reporting for myself (Primary Account Holder) but not for my wife (Authorized User). Everything reports the same on all reports between the both us with the sole exception being the missing 30 day late for her.

That's fortunate for her. :D

Yeah, that's why her score is better, lol.

Almost there, though, just another 4 months and it'll come off. Looking forward to joining the 800 group with that late coming off and utilization down to zero with just 1 card showing a small balance. :blush2:

I am so glad I found this post! I am currently an AU on my hub's NFCU nRewards card, Victoria's Secret and Belk card but none of them are reporting on my EQ, only on TU and EX. What should I do -- these are all cards that I garden for him...I'm tired of not getting credit for them LOL!

Had my DW as an AU on my BOA, reported to all three. Got a 30 day late and reported to all three. Took her off and disputed, EX and TU took right off and EQ verified, then removed on second dispute.

Side note: sent 3 GW to BOA to remove late on mine and nothing. Disputed with all 3 CRA and EQ removed 30 day late.
