TrueCredit does not answer phone (800) 493-2392

Recommended Posts

I live in a state where there is no charge to lift a security freeze from your credit report (Experian properly reflects this) but TransUnion keeps wanting to change $10 for the lift. When I call the security freeze lift center at 888-909-8872, they can manually lift the freeze for free, but the automated telephone system at that number to lift the freeze and the online system both want $10. They told me to contact TrueCredit for all web site issues.

Has anyone else faced this issue? Does TransUnion ever answer the phone for TrueCredit?

Why not call TU directly and ask them to lift it? Or are you saying that you're being transferred to an automated system when you call?

When I called TU at the security lift line 888-909-8872 they directed me to TrueCredit for the issue. Is there some other TU direct number to call?
