OK, having worked for them when they were Lazarus, I had to have their credit card once I was hired.

If that's still their policy......

What do they do if a new hire doesn't get approved for a card? what.gif

Do they have a pre-paid card for uncreditworthy employees?

Just curious, as I would never, ever want to be a store associate again! grimace.gif

Working conditions are probably more pleasant at the call center, per your posts.

I was an employee of lazarus as well....I worked there about five years as a furniture sales associate..actually made pretty good money but my credit was horrible...In order to get my employee discount , all purchases had to be made through a store charge account....so they gave me an account and a card but I had to pre load money onto it by making a payment In the store...then make my purchases I wanted with the card....it was a hassle but hey the discount is one of the perks of working there

Truly sorry, I missed this. Any employee can get a card, whether pre paid or credit. That is the way we get our employes discount, so everyone can get some form of card for purchases in stores and online.

  •
  • For credit challenged new employees, they get a prepaid card
  • For new employees who do not want an EXP inquiry which lasts 12 months, they can also opt for a pre paid only
  • For new employees who want only a store acocunt, they get an EXP inquiry and a non reporting limit. They gain the history on their credit report.
  • For new employees with a desire for an AMEX, they can apply in store and get two accounts for one inquiry: AMEX and store account, with employee discount attached to store only.

These answers are for new employess, because most people get it done right away. The answers are generally true for exisiting employees with no store accounts, with a few exceptions to when and how to apply.
